Customer Reviews
Great house, spotlessly clean with everything we needed for a long weekend. Thank you!
Philip – Aug 2024
We decided to visit Suffolk to make a change from our annual pilgrimage to Cornwall. Really enjoyed our stay the cottage exceeded our expectations very well equipped and comfortable. The drive was a wee bit tight to turn our large SUV around and being on a bend ultra care was needed if reversing out. Enjoyed the proximity to the coast and lack of traffic compared to Kent where we live. Recommend the property for a stay in this part of Suffolk.
Gerald – June 2024
We loved this place! Spotlessly clean, modern but also cosy. Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages was quick to respond to any queries from us and the cottage was exactly as described.
Martin – March 2023
We built a fire to settle in, lovely time watching the flames and enjoying a bottle of red. Ventured into town for dinner – most spots were closed, but we found Cleon’s Italian and had a great meal. Recommended bruchetta and Italian slow roast. We explored Halesworth next day and walked along the coast. We found, stumbled upon, the best donut shop. Saw seals in the water while we walked along the show. Exploring Southwold tomorrow and looking forward to more adventure. This stay has been lovely. We have felt so cozy and excited each time we arrive back to this lovely place.
Chris & Page – January 2023
Lovely warm well equipped cottage. Very cosy, comfortable and beautifully decorated for Christmas. We love being so close to Southwold. We had mostly wet weather 🙁 but it was lovely to walk back to warm cottage with lovely fire 🙂 We will definitely book again. Thank you.
Green family – January 2023
Lovely cottage for a winter stay. Cosy and very well equipped. We were impressed with the equipment available in the kitchen, especially as the dark and damp evenings meant we ate in the cottage most of the week. There was the lovely touch of a Christmas tree and decorations waiting for us on arrival, felt like home from home.
Barbara – December 2022
My daughter and I found it a lovely warm welcoming house in November. Large, pleasant kitchen with dining area plus bar area. Seating accommodation plentiful and comfortable. Separate comfortable lounge with log fire. Bedrooms well equipped and squeaky clean. We both slept very well! There was a lovely walk in shower in the bathroom also a shaver /toothbrush socket – (not always provided). Both Hand and bath towels amply supplied Every room was clearly well planned, containing abundant equipment appropriate to its function. We would most definitely book again.
Beulah – December 2022
Excellent cottage with lovely decor and thoughtful touches – tea/coffee making, washing up items and wood for fire (loved lighting a fire!). We definitely book again, thank you! x

Rebekah – November 2022
A lovely, spacious property that is very nicely furnished and exactly matches the description. Kitchen is very well equipped and local maps etc provide a good basis to explore the area. Property is well positioned to get to the coastal attractions as well as lovely, picturesque inland towns and villages. Nice touches with the kids basket of activities and consumables left. Would both recommend and revisit.
Laura – October 2022
The lovely towns and villages – some real gems and impressively full of independent shops. We have enjoyed beaches, forests, rivers and more. The house is a great base for exploring. Very well equipped and very nicely furnished. Would definitely recommend.

Rebecca & Peter – August 2022
Laurel Cottage is perfectly located for all of the main attractions of this part of the Suffolk coast. It’s very comfortable and fitted out to a lovely standard. The Crown at Westleton, Anchor at Walberswick and Dolphin at Thorpeness are all good for food and all within a reasonable drive of the house. We would recommend the cottage as a great base to explore the area
