A really nice property that makes any trip to Aldeburgh even better. Clean and well presented and a very easy walk down to the beach. Communication was quick and easy and helped out with any queries we had. Would absolutely recommend staying here.
Jacob Hatcher, Amber Cottage – September 2020
Lovely house in great location right in the centre of Thorpeness. We were a group of 6 friends and it was perfect. Very clean. Check in very quick and easy and host very accommodating on timings. Would love to come back!

Great host and lovely cottage. Would highly recommend
James Begley, Meadow View – September 2020
We had a lovely stay at Pugwash Cottage. A very sweet, characterful and clean place with all that we needed. My favourite part of our stay was getting up at 8am with my 2yr old to walk the 2 seconds to the beach for a play before going to get morning croissants and a coffee!
EIizabeth Willis, Pugwash Cottage – September 2020
Wonderful location, one road from the high street and one road from the sea, very well stocked spacious kitchen and thoughtful welcome gifts. Very comfortable beds and bedding. Great to have off road parking. Loved the look out tower great for a gin and tonic in the evenings. One of the best self catering apartments we have stayed in.
Robert, Seascape – September 2020
The cottage is well laid out and spacious. The garden at the rear is private and sunny, with chairs to sit out. The house is in easy walking distance of the beach and town and has two local supermarkets at the end of the road. We were able to park on street outside the property most of the time. A lovely place indeed.
Judith Douglas, Nutshell – September 2020
No strangers to Aldeburgh my wife and I booked a 4 night break at Robins Egg and found the location to be absolutely perfect. We’ve stayed in many self catering establishments and also in the Aldeburgh Hotels, but this was by far the best. Wonderful walks across the marshes to the sea only a ten minute stroll away and the same into the town in the other direction for shops and restaurants . We purchased essential groceries for our stay without the need of a car as we discovered a few shortcuts ! Even the larger Tesco and Co op stores on the Saxmundham Road were only a short stroll away once we found the shortcuts ! A peaceful and quiet private road. The apartment was extremely clean and well furnished and very comfortable. Very bright and airy. Comfy bed, adequate storage for a short stay and a large wet room . Added bonus of private parking right to the door so no problem with luggage. A brief issue with the password for the WiFi ( we couldn’t locate it) was soon sorted and a big thank you goes to the Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages team, who we booked through, for popping in to check everything was OK. We will certainly return to Robins Egg.
Jassie – Hertfordshire, Robin’s Egg – September 2020
Just a quick note to say thanks for organising the house, it’s an awesome property and the kids especially loved the secret staircase.
Lee McCready, The Tower – September 2020
‘Pure luxury’ We were bowled over by the setting of the property. And the inside was luxurious and perfect. The rooms were large and very well decorated, everywhere looked freshly painted. Kitchen was better stocked in utensils than my own! Garden was vast. You can hear the sea! Beautiful furnishings. We will come again soon
NJS, The Dower Lodge – September 2020
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the charming Puddleduck Cottage, which the owners have furnished and decorated beautifully! It is a very well equipped property with everything and more needed for a self-catering holiday. We particularly enjoyed the comfy beds! The location is perfect, at the quieter end of the high street and within a few minutes walk of the shops, beach, pubs and restaurants. We had our dog with us and the house is ideally situated near the end of the beach where dogs are permitted all year. There are some lovely walks on the doorstep too. This was our first staycation for a few years and definitely won’t be our last! We were sorry to leave Puddleduck and look forward to visiting again.
Helen, Puddleduck Cottage – September 2020
‘Wonderful place to stay’ This cottage had everything we wanted. Ideal location near town and beach but very peaceful set in a large garden. Well equipped and very thoughtfully decorated. One of the best cottages we have stayed in. Wonderful.
Jean, Garden Cottage – September 2020

Just wanted to write to you to Thankyou for such a wonderful stay in The Dower Retreat. It was absolutely beautiful inside and out and equally as spotless. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to come back early next year for a post Christmas break. The beach being only 50 yards away was our favourite part and we spent a lot of time there. Already have recommended it to friends and family who are keen to book a break with yourselves also.
Beth Avril, The Dower Retreat – September 2020
This property offers a perfect location to explore the local area. It is also very well equipped in general with everything that you could need from games to kitchen equipment. This is also a very dog friendly location as there is a dog friendly beach over the road within easy access.

A lovely comfortable cottage. Very clean. Nice touches. Great hosting.
Pat Sartor, Walnut Cottage – September 2020
The Turret House is located in a beautiful quiet village and is 2 minutes walk from the beach and 1 minute from the pub. The house has all the required facilities and was enjoyed by all the family with age ranging from 6 months to 65 years. If you do encounter any issues there is help available with just one telephone (my thanks to Sue and Elizabeth). I have no hesitation in recommending this property.
Steve Diprose, The Turret House – September 2020
We would highly recommend this property. Very clean and beautiful decor. Fabulous views. Comfortable beds. Excellent location. We managed to get parked on a street close by. Other reviewers mention the top floor bedroom and sloping ceiling. It is suitable for children but would be challenging for adults. Excellent communication. We would book this property again.

Sally Tyrie, Bloom Cottage – September 2020
The house is beautifully laid out with so many lovely features. We loved the large hallway, plenty of space for our big family. The kitchen is very well equipped and the drinks fridge was well received. The beautiful sunny kitchen lends itself to a fabulous shared space with the large table, stunning dresser and wood burner. The 2 lounges are lovely and cosy and the opening into the decking is another great feature. Plenty of bathrooms for a big family, and the attic bedrooms are cute. Good use of the eaves, creating wardrobe spaces for all the bedrooms. The lighting throughout is very effective. The position of the house is spot on for all amenities. Extremely well situated for shops, cafes, pubs and the beach. Parking was freely available behind the accommodation. The garden was spacious and established , lovely for watching the garden birds and lots of bees and butterflies. Plenty of seating in the garden, along with a bbq lending itself to a well spent afternoon soaking up the September sun. We would love to return in the future
Sue Lake, Mansard House – September 2020
A perfect Suffolk hideaway. We can’t wait to come back.
Amelia Colley, The Dairy House – September 2020
I stayed here with all my family for 5 days and was sad to leave. I had read some excellent reviews before booking and a few criticising small things. However, on arrival we were all delighted with the house, garden and location! It was spotlessly clean, so light and airy. Larger than it looks on photos. The kitchen was great to cook in and well equipped. The garden was a delight for the younger ones to play in. We enjoyed breakfast on the sunny patio in the mornings. Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages were attentive and helpful in making our stay a memorable one. I definitely would stay again.
Annie from Leeds, Swiss Cottage – September 2020
A lovely studio in a great location!
Emma Wildman, The Bay Tree Studio – September 2020

Jillian Ashton, 9 Uplands – September 2020
What can I say the most marvellous lodge a fantastic setting sheer bliss. The lodge was spotlessly clean, spacious and homely. Bedrooms a nice size with jack and Jill bathroom with it being en-suite to master bedroom. Kitchen very well equipped including tea towels dishwasher tablets and many more basics including a bag of ice in the freezer. The view from veranda was spectacular and luckily we had nice clear skies so saw sun and moon rising just stunning. Home made pizzas also cooked on site including gluten free. We didn’t want to come home and will be back very soon
Emily Morriss, Sole Bay Lodge – September 2020

Immaculately clean, modern and stylish pad. Walking distance to Leiston High Street. Sizewell beach to Thorpeness walk is a must and local takeaways mean you are well catered for if you don’t want to cook. Pleasantly surprised by this part of Suffolk as normally stay at Aldeburgh but we shall definitely return. Lovely apartment.
Melanie Hardcastle, Leiston Apartment – September 2020
We had a midweek break here and found the house to be spotlessly clean. It has plenty of space and good facilities including well equipped kitchen. Very close to the coast at Thorpeness.
Jonathan Vincent, Willow House – September 2020
We stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Great location just a short drive from Aldeburgh. Very clean, beautiful flat and very glad the host allows young children as I know this can be off putting. Shame it was only for one night!! We’d definitely stay again for longer next time! Thanks for having us and allowing children to stay, not all places allow young children!

Overall we were all extremely impressed with the stay and thought the house was absolutely lovely, thoroughly pleased with the trip 🙂
Chloe Williams, Meadow View – September 2020
Drift In is a fantastic little cottage space for 5-6 people. The location is fantastic. This property has a little roof terrace which is nice to sit and watch the stars have a little outdoor space. The sea was a stones throw away across the road.
Chris A, Drift In – September 2020

Tanya O’Rourke, 3 Hazelwood – September 2020
We arrived at Jasmine Cottage with our three and six year old and the dog, after a long drive from Surrey. We were very happy to find such a welcoming space to relax. Everything was clean and so comfortable. It was like home from home. The location was great to explore the local area. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could need and the fire was lovely after a day on the beach during a storm! It was much better than expected and I would recommend to anyone. Even our dog Snoop had her own little area with bowls. Lovely little touch
Eve Steed, Jasmine Cottage – September 2020
Quirky property in an excellent location – central but still quiet on the High Street. It is small and a cottage so low ceilings but was perfect size for us as a couple. Nice little backyard for eating outside but also spoiled for choice with lots of local places to eat/drink nearby (suggest you book!) and a Coop across the road, also close enough to the beach for an early morning swim/ take your dinner and watch the sun go down. Free parking on a street close by – make sure you read the instructions for this! An easy day trip to Southwold but also definitely worth going to Orford. A great holiday, thank you very much.
Christina Medford, Ivy Cottage – September 2020
A lovely little house with a fantastic location just off the high street. Even with its proximity to the high street, the house was very quiet. Lovely little sun trap garden was a nice extra. The bed linen and house in general was spotless. A perfect base to explore Aldeburgh and the surrounding areas.
Ciara Logan, The Tiller – September 2020
A great location for a one night visit… thank you
Jo And James Wardle, Stones Throw – September 2020
The cottage was exactly as advertised. It was clean, tidy and the location was perfect. Easy walk to Aldeburgh High Street and beach.
Andrew Brown, Garden Cottage – September 2020
We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful Dower House. Far surpassed our expectations with brilliant communication from the start. Impeccably clean and the rooms are stunning. The views were fantastic from the top bedrooms and the short walk to the beach was really perfect for our family holiday. Thank you!
Katie Bailey, The Dower House – September 2020
Located on Aldeburgh beach front, this is about as close to a perfect holiday home as you can find. We’ve been coming to Aldeburgh for over 16 years now, always self-catering, and Trehafod had everything a family of 4 needed. The location is excellent. We had no trouble parking, the property is very clean and it was lovely to sit in the front garden for coffee each day. Highly recommended!
Helen Whitt, Trehafod – September 2020
A beautiful comfortable well equipped house ideal for a family get together. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the upstairs lounge. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful house. It was perfect for our family get together. Thank you for the bottle of wine a gesture much appreciated . It was also good to have dishwasher tablets and those few extras in the kitchen. Well equipped! Thank you.

Good base for exploring the town and seafront, which is a relatively short walk away. Very comfortable bed and a clean, simple living space, which is in a sort of annex inside another house’s garden. Check-in and out with lockbox is very easy. Aldeburgh is a wonderful place!

Comfortable and stylish cottage with a lovely outside space. Well located only a short walk away from the beach and close to many places of interest. The team at Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages had left lots of useful information for visitors which was really helpful. Loved exploring especially Sailors Path to Snape Maltings. First time visitors to Aldeburgh/Suffolk, we will definitely be back. Thanks for being a good agent, it is a challenging time at the moment, and it was lovely to spend time in your beautiful cottage by the sea.
Mark Cooke, Sleepers Cottage – August 2020
This is a fantastic property in a superb location. We loved how spacious and comfortable the house is and the location on a remote clifftop just a short walk to the shingle beach. Well situated for day trips to Aldeburgh, Southwold, Snape Maltings etc. Would definitely recommend.
Emma Cremin, The Dower House – August 2020
Really nice cottage in a beautiful setting. You have loads of outdoor space to yourself, with lots of birds and wildlife to spot. Also in a great location – you can walk to Thorpeness beach through country paths, or to Aldeburgh if you fancy a longer walk. The cottage itself is clean and well-furnished with a really comfy bed. The only (very minor) issue was that the posting says that things like tea, salt, pepper etc are provided but these were sparse so we had to go and buy more – it would’ve been better to have known to bring our own from the start. But this was a minor, its a really lovely place to stay.
Thanks for a lovely stay, the cottage and (especially) the surroundings were beautiful
Mary Robertson, Briar Hill – August 2020
This home is ideally located within walking distance of the beach and Aldeburgh High Street. The house is great for kids, situated in a safe and friendly close with an outside courtyard to run around! Thank you for a great stay and a much needed change of scene by the sea!

Pete Wandless, The Lookout – August 2020
Lovely views and well appointed space. Great selection of books, dvds and games for rainy times!
Rebekah Diprose, 3 Ogilvie Lodge – August 2020
We had a lovely time. The house was well equipped and the kids loved the stairs and the hidden stairs as well. It was so closed to the beach and it was a lovely town with a nice local pub. We really enjoyed the stay. Kids loved that there was also WiFi although the connection on the kitchen was not the best but it worked well elsewhere.
Ana Garcia Nieto, The Tower – August 2020
This property is bigger than you would expect from the photos. It was spotless very clean. Everything you would need a short walk to the shops and a ten min drive to the coast, we loved it. Very stylish as well as being comfortable. Would highly recommend. 10/10
Julia Briscoe, Leiston Apartment – August 2020
A great place right on Crag Path, the kids were in and out of the sea all week, and we enjoyed popping down to the beach to watch sunrise.
Dan Perry, Trehafod – August 2020
Jasmine Cottage is lovely and well situated for exploring the Suffolk seaside towns. The cottage is very comfortable and the garden superb to relax in and breakfast and dine al fresco. Lovely new bathrooms with excellent showers. I went with my partner, mother and daughter and would definitely return.
Nancy Boulos, Jasmine Cottage – August 2020
The Bay Tree Studio is tucked away behind the main house; easy to find in daylight, but not so easy in pitch darkness at 10.30 pm, which is when I unfortunately had to arrive! Definitely take a torch, as Thorpeness is completely black after dark! The studio is perfect for either a couple or a solo traveller; the bed is really comfortable; the bathroom is more spacious than I’d expected in such a small conversion, and the kitchen area was fine for me but would be quite tight on space for any actual cooking ( which I didn’t do!) The studio was light, bright, airy, quiet and super clean for my visit; communication with Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages was prompt and courteous, and overall I was very satisfied with my stay.
Juliet Brien, The Bay Tree Studio – August 2020
This cottage is far bigger than it looks! Wonderful inside and plenty of outdoor space to chill outside. Space for two cars too and 2 mins walk from the meare and 5 mins to beach
Simone Gubbins, Bay Cottage – August 2020
A truly charming holiday home in the most incredible location, bang in the centre of beautiful Aldeburgh. The house is finished to the highest of standards (I have appliance envy), with beautiful bathrooms and an excellent kitchen. Compact but so comfortable, with a delightful balcony and garden, all on top of the beach. It was immaculately clean and has been extremely well looked-after. If we’re being hyper-critical, the double bed is pretty small, but we are knit-picking. Two minor issues were dealt with promptly. We loved our stay and are so looking forward to returning. Thank you so much for a super stay. We’ll be back!
Lucy Ross, Swn-y-don – August 2020
Thank you for your hospitality and a great stay and all your help.
Timothy Healey, Aldeburgh Annexe – August 2020
Lovely flat, very clean. Self catering was great for us. Thank you so much.
Kat Walsh, Three Tuns Apartments – Birch – August 2020
A great little place to escape to. Wonderful scenery nearby. Perfect for a couple.
Tom Brook, Appletree Cottage – August 2020
Our second time visiting the Retreat and it’s just wonderful. The cabin is ideal and the seclusion and quiet is lovely, but only a short drive to the pub or town. There are some lovely walks through the forest and feeding the donkeys is always a highlight for us. The local area is lovely and there is always plenty to do. We will be back.
Trusted customer, The Retreat – August 2020
What a wonderful cottage. Situated on a peaceful road, just 15 minutes or so from Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. The cottage was sparkling clean, and had a wonderful secluded garden. I will definitely return for a longer stay.
Natalie Jones, Jasmine Cottage – August 2020
A lovely family house for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside and coast.
Martha Davey, Willow House – August 2020
Cosy retreat with amenities and the shoreline nearby. What’s not to like!
Julian Mead, The Old Customs House – August 2020
Great location. 2 mins to pub, 2 mins to beach. 2 mins to lighthouse restaurant (which was great). Really enjoyed stay. Break wasn’t long enough.
Gareth Cross, The Lobster Pot – August 2020
A lovely lodge in a beautiful setting. It was super clean and beds/pillows were v comfortable which was v much appreciated. The property is ideal if you want somewhere quiet and not bothered about driving to diff destinations. The info booklet at the property was v helpful and we enjoyed our walks to the dolphin and the parrot pubs.
Tara Siddons,The Retreat – August 2020
I spent a week in Sycamore with my partner, whereby we enjoyed the beautiful countryside, local pubs and sunny beaches – id recommend others to stay here if looking for a quiet but enjoying vacation.

Cosy terraced house, well decorated with some nice touches about 15 mins walk from beach/sea or town.

Lovely cottage. Bright and airy. Well placed in the village. Thorpeness is very friendly and we made use of all it had to offer. Great walks for us and our dog.
Allison Warn, 2 Bell Lodge – August 2020
Great location, house clean and spacious we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Amy Rodwell, Swiss Cottage – August 2020
Dower Lodge is set in wonderful grounds, alongside 3 other holiday rental properties. Even though there are other properties on the site, there was very little noise and we felt very secluded. The garden is huge, and it’s a short walk to the beach. Communication was proactive and helpful.
Liz Black, The Dower Lodge – August 2020
Great place good location. Excellent for exploring the area with all the convenience of a home from home.
Paul Nelson, Three Tuns Apartments – Weeping Willow – August 2020
‘Perfect accommodation for a family staycation’ – 2 Ogilvie Lodge is situated within the Thorpeness Country Club. The Beach is literally just across the road and the Mere is a 2 minute walk away. Aldeburgh can be accessed by way of a very pleasant 30 minute walk, a 10 minute bike ride or 5 minute car journey. Most people tend to choose the former options in peak season as parking in Aldeburgh can be a problem. During late July and August there is a weekly array of childrens activities organised by Country Club and the twice weekly Bingo sessions are not to be missed – they are an absolute riot! The House itself has a spacious ground-floor lounge, a well-equipped kitchen and a storage area for Beach necessities etc.. The first floor has a double bedroom and separate bathroom plus a further double bedroom with ensuite shower and toilet. A door on the second floor leads up to a third bedroom which is an ideal hideaway for the kids: our grandchildren loved it. There was not much evidenced of Covid during our stay although parking in Aldeburgh has been reduced in the High Street to allow more social distancing. We used the Coop in Leiston for any supermarket shopping that we had to do. The set up there is the best that I have come across during this pandemic. All checkouts are screened and the staff looked entirely relaxed in their work. There is plenty of free parking and access to the store is automatic and controlled by a set of traffic lights! Well done Coop.
Ygor, 2 Ogilvie Lodge – August 2020
‘Perfect for a couple’ – We could tell immediately that The Courtyard is a well loved holiday home. It was well furnished with lots of crockery etc. enabling us to have an easy, comfortable stay. The location is great. A short stroll from the beach and fantastic restaurants. The property was exceptionally clean and well presented. The neighbouring garden is simply beautiful to look onto and the small conservatory area at the back of the property is a perfect place to relax. Having on site parking was a real bonus during this peak holiday time.
Rose from Austria, The Courtyard – August 2020
Another lovely stay at The Lily Pad. Such a beautiful place! Thank you for the wine and the cake. Hope to be back soon!
David & Christine, The Lily Pad – August 2020
Absolutely beautiful cottage. We had a lovely stay and could fault a thing. I’ll definitely be booking again soon! The customer service was superb, the ladies I spoke to were so helpful and friendly.
L Newman, Bay Cottage – August 2020
Stone’s Throw was as described mins from beach and high street. Very comfortable.
Jane P, Caterham, Stones Throw – August 2020
‘Very nice place as center for local exploration’
Very nice place – well laid out and decorated – and what a view from the living room – absolutely wonderful. Aldeburgh great for walking around – nice old houses – pubs – fish & chip shops – fresh & smoked seafood places along the (shingle) beach. There were some brave souls in the sea – note the north sea is quite cold – even in July. Highly recommend.
Dave, Crag’s Nest – August 2020
The Waterfront was clean, tidy and in a perfect location (so close to the beach and amenities). It also has parking for two cars!
Gemma,Maranello, Italy, Watermans – August 2020
The cottage is a brilliant base to explore the Suffolk coast and we had a super week. The cottage is well appointed and high quality and has everything you need. It’s nicely decorated and the kitchen is well laid out and attractive. Upstairs is very comfortable and well decorated. Overall – very good indeed.
Susan, Andover, Thimble Cottage – August 2020
Lovely trip great base to have to visit the beach, shops and restaurants in the area.

Spencer, Southend-on-Sea, Sleepers Cottage – August 2020
Lovely cottage. Bright and airy. Well placed in the village. Thorpeness is very friendly and we made use of all it had to offer. Great walks for us and our dog.
Allison Warn, 2 Bell Lodge – August 2020
Lovely place to stay overnight, we really enjoyed “the nook” to sit and look out at the ocean.
Ashlee Kumar, Seascape – August 2020
I thought you would like to know that we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Flat 3 Colonial House. The standard was very high, the beds very comfortable and everything else was brilliant. Whilst our friends at home suffered storms we luxuriated in wonderful fine and hot weather. Hope to deal with Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages again. Thank you Elizabeth very much.
John Bayley, Leiston Apartment – August 2020
The cottage is perfectly located for both the high street and the beach. There is no parking allocated to the property but we had no problem parking 2 cars in the adjacent pay & display car park. Very clean, very light rooms and decorations were salubrious. Only real negative was the loft bathroom, good to practice your limbo skills! All in all we had a great stay and can highly recommend the property.
Hayley Lockyer, Swn-y-don – August 2020
Great space with comfortable room for 8. Lovely location near the beach, boating lake, and pub. Good communication and simple instructions.
Catherine Weeks, 7 Whinlands – August 2020
Very easy to deal with ahead of time, Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages was an easy phone call away and they went the extra mile to find us a mattress that fit the cot
Richard Trainor, Little Tern Cottage – August 2020
A lovely break in such beautiful surroundings. Thank you for the warm welcome and all the extra touches.
Stella & Tim, The Lily Pad – August 2020

Sally Fiske, Drift In – August 2020
We fell in love with this house the moment we arrived. Thank you for all the kind touches – this trip will stay with us for a long time and we would love to come back. Favourite memories: waking up to the stunning views from the bedroom every morning, long run along the front and watching the storm over the sea. Activities recommended: crabbing, Colchester Zoo and local seafood.
Suzy, Andy, Finley & Raffi, The Lookout – August 2020
The studio was a perfect space for a few days away and was so perfectly situated. Food and the beach were easily accessible and the studio itself had everything we needed and was deceptively spacious. Would recommend and would love to stay again. Thanks very much.
Kerry O’Neill, The Bay Tree Studio – August 2020
Great place, awesome location. Thanks for another great stay!
Steve Ethridge, Lyndhurst House – August 2020
Just back from a 3 night break in the Old Custom House in Aldeburgh. This lovely little property is perfectly situated for exploring Aldeburgh and its surroundings as well as being very close to the sea. We had brilliant time. Thank you.

Beth Burbidge, Three Tuns Apartments – Maple – August 2020
The house was great for 6 of us – very spacious and airy The kitchen is amazing and so well equipped so you it’s quite easy to cook quite elaborate dinners and there’s a dishwasher which makes it all very easy The garden is a real bonus – a real sun trap and very English country garden. And there’s a bbq too Very convenient location – the co op across the road is quite big and really well stocked The local pub is lovely And it’s just a short 20 minute or so walk to the town centre Definitely recommend.
Annette Breen, Amber Cottage – August 2020
Clean; kitchen was very well equipped. We felt very safe from a Covid point of view. Great that fans were provided.
Monica Clarke, Willow House – August 2020
The Walnut Cottage was a perfect place for our family of three. We had everything we needed for a week, the kitchen is well equipped. The location is great, a quick walk to the beach and just around the corner from the local Tesco and Coop. We liked how much light it gets throughout the day, the comfortable beds, the little garden. We didn’t need any assistance from Emma during our stay, however we appreciated that she contacted us prior to our arrival and also the nice welcoming touches.
Val Oliver, Walnut Cottage – August 2020
Beautifully appointed. Thank you for your warm welcome and all the thoughtful touches.
Graham & Jean, The Lily Pad – August 2020
Nice little apartment- easy to find, very clean, nice modern decor. We were on a working break so needed good internet checked this before booking and were not disappointed. Two of us on video conferencing all day with no issues. Had our dog with us – lots of lovely walks straight from the apartment, and the host is very dog friendly. We are fairly regular visitors to this area and will likely stay here again.
Lisa Avenell, Three Tuns Apartments – Sycamore – August 2020
Had a great stay in Aldeburgh with a perfect location and lovely quiet location.
Phil Jones, Aldeburgh Annexe – August 2020
A delightful rural getaway at ‘The Dairy Cottage.’ The cottage is in the perfect location for the sailors path, which is right on the doorstep of the cottage. Other local walks are close by too, by car. Aldeburgh town is a 10 minute drive which we found really handy to pick up essentials. The cottage itself is basic but quaint and tucked away in the countryside, however it is a great base to discover the surrounding areas of Aldeburgh, Orford, Snape and Southwold. The walk to Snape Maltings is beautiful and is a 40 minute walk from the cottage. This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a rural getaway and want to enjoy the outdoors!
Hannah Wicks, The Dairy Cottage – August 2020
This cottage is delightful with lots of original features and a charming, mature garden. It was very well equipped with everything we needed. We very much enjoyed our stay here with many places to visit nearby. Although there is a footpath walk into the neighbouring village of Benhall, the cottage is situated on a relatively busy 40mph road, so be prepared to take little trips in the car. Most places are within 10-20 mins away. We enjoyed visiting Aldeburgh and Thorpeness beaches which are stoney and delightful. Southwold has a pier! There is a lovely walk from Snape – Sailors Walk and a nice pub called the Plough & Sail. Framlingham Castle is a great place to explore. The kids loved the Wall Walk and running around the grounds.
Marie Brown, Valentine’s Cottage – August 2020
Lovely cottage with plenty of space. Garden is huge. Location is superb – beach 2 mins walk and lovely forest and countryside behind. Communication from Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages was also excellent
Patrick Ball, The Dower Cottage – August 2020
Very clean accommodation situated in a beautiful garden. Ideal for 2 guests. 20 minute walk to the beach and many restaurants. Even though during Covid 19 we felt very safe.
Kevin Barber, Aldeburgh Annexe – August 2020
This was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay while enjoying all that Aldeburgh has to offer. It was the first time we’d stayed in the town and walking to and fro to the beach with two teenagers helped a lot. They could get back independently if they wanted to which made life easier for the adults. The exceptionally warm weather meant we could enjoy mornings, afternoons and evenings on the beach. I recommend fish and chips on the beach for dinner! Emma/Elizabeth Thanks very much for a great stay and for your swift responses to questions, much appreciated
Ruth, 4 Wards Place – August 2020
Lovely little cottage next to everything you need including the beach, pubs and restaurants. Would recommend.
Matthew Bloomfield, Puddleduck Cottage – August 2020
Fabulous location overlooking the sea in lovely Aldeburgh. Nicely kitted out and very clean.
Caroline Landes, 14 Market Cross Place – August 2020
This is a really lovely holiday home decorated to a high standard. The location is very peaceful and rural, with easy access to Suffolk heritage coast and local market towns. Perfect for a single person, couple or with small baby, as we were. Would love to stay again!
Jane Hutt, Appletree Cottage – August 2020
Lovely place! Great cake and wine. Very relaxing stay.
Alison & Paul, The Lily Pad – August 2020
Hi Elizabeth, just to let you know that my daughter and her girls enjoyed their stay at Pebble Cottage. They spent loads of money at the little Indian shop just down the road. I think the owner was very pleased!! We enjoyed the fish from the huts, which we cooked on the barbecue, and the walks, especially to Thorpeness and its Emporium. All in all a really good break.
Joseph McCann, 67 Pebble Cottage – August 2020
Superb accommodation, everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Beautifully clean and ample parking for our large car. Minutes walk to beach and a friendly pub, would love to return!

Dear Elizabeth, We’ve just returned from a very wonderful week at the Dower House and I would like to thank you for your excellent service. Throughout the enquiry and booking process I found your agency so helpful and friendly, particularly during the early, uncertain COVID days. The Dower House was a complete delight and accommodated our two young families so very comfortably. Your maintenance person was extremely helpful- responding quickly to our request for child locks for the upper windows. You really made our holiday. Thank you so much.
Libby Fry, The Dower House – August 2020
Wonderful stay. The house is perfect for families as is Thorpeness. This is our second holiday in this house & I hope it won’t be the last. Many thanks for a really enjoyable stay.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is very well located. It is very well equipped and our toddler was delighted to find a box of toys and a shelf of books.
Dina Doerfel, Pear Tree Cottage – August 2020
Lovely house in a fabulous location. This really is a lovely house, very well furnished and spotlessly clean on our arrival. Glorious position overlooking the seafront and all the amenities of the town within a few minutes walk. So nice we’ve already booked again for next year.
Trusted customer – 14 Market Cross Place – August 2020
Home from home!. Set in woodland and a 2 minute stroll along a leafy path to the beach, The Dower Cottage was perfect for a really comfortable and enjoyable stay. It was well equipped, modern, spacious, light and the the beds were great. We had our own private walled garden with a large patio and our own ‘meadow’! The location made an excellent starting point for a walk along the beach to Aldeburgh, stopping at pretty Thorpeness for coffee. Twice during our week we ate delicious pizza, cooked in a wood burning oven in the neighbouring campsite’s restaurant overlooking the sea – delicious! We would love to stay in The Dower Cottage again and highly recommend it to others. A huge thank you to Angela of Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages for helping to make our stay so wonderful.
Jenina K,San Jose, Costa Rica – The Dower Cottage – August 2020
Lovely cottage, well located, with easy access to beautiful Suffolk. Cottage well equipped, with everything you would need for a short or long term stay. Two well sized bedrooms and a spacious open-plan L shaped area for living room, dining room and kitchen. Outside seating in both the front and rear of the cottage. Already hoping to return at the end of September and many other visits planned thereafter including cooler months as the cottage has a good heating system. Highly recommended – Excellent.
Tina C,Frinton-On-Sea, 2 Hazelwood – August 2020
Good position, spacious with parking. The location couldn’t have been any better, and came with parking! rooms were a good size and easy to get around the kitchen area was small but very functional and well equipped.
Linda S, Watermans – August 2020
The cottage was excellent great location 2 minutes from the beach, everything we needed for a great holiday, Fish and chips were great, hopefully we will stop there again.
Jean B, Drift In – August 2020
Thorpeness is lovely and quiet once the day trippers have left you have the beach almost to yourself. It’s a short stroll from the mere and a very short walk up to the gold course gardens for a meal and a drink. Lovingly restored accommodation. We felt confident that it had been thoroughly cleaned. All windows were open when we arrived to allow ventilation. Gardens front and back, and off road parking for a smaller car at the back.
Trusted customer, 7 Uplands – August 2020
We had a lovely long weekend in 67 Pebble Cottage in July. The fact it has a drive for parking makes things so much easier. The location was perfect, on the high street and close to the beach. With its superb location I thought it would be nosier than it was – it was so quiet! The cottage itself is nicely done – good bathrooms and nice courtyard garden and the whole cottage was very clean. Perfect weekend – we would book again.
Sarah, 67 Pebble Cottage – August 2020
Great location excellent accommodation. Highly recommend this accommodation very well managed easy to deal with very obliging overall first class.
Trusted customer, Meadow View – August 2020

Such a lovely flat in the heart of Aldeburgh – truly perfect!
Ella Mcneill, The Courtyard – August 2020
Was so impressed with the cottage, it was perfect for a few days away by the sea. The rooms were really light and airy, the bed was super comfy and the garden was ideal for drinks in the sunshine! Everything was very clean when we arrived too, and antibacterial surface spray and hand sanitiser were provided for the stay. The location is very good, only a 10 minute stroll down to the beach and the main street in Aldeburgh, and there is a small Tesco and Coop just around the corner. All in all, a perfect little cottage for your staycation!
Natalie Haywood, Nutshell – August 2020
A lovely cottage in a great location at the quiet end of Aldeburgh High Street. It was perfect for our family of five. We particularly loved a drink on the little balcony whilst the kids watched a movie. The manager was very helpful and swift to respond when we had an issue (a leak following heavy rain ). The maintenance team arrived within the hour and sorted the issue. A delightful stay. Thank you.
Jenny Gillespie, Drift In – August 2020
The location of this house is perfect – just a few steps from the beach and a minute’s walk to the high street. We found the living room a little smaller than expected from the photos but the amenities were great and everything was perfectly clean. The house is really comfortable too, the sofas are lovely and we all slept so well in the super comfy beds.
Nicola Ashwell, Trehafod – August 2020
Lovely place in a great location.
Tim Slatford, Church Farm Lodge – August 2020
This cottage was perfect for our needs, for my one year old son, husband and I. It is in a great location, a pleasant 10 minutes walk down to the beach and very close to a supermarket which made life easy and relaxed. A great cottage inside with everything you need, including lots of utensils in the kitchen which was brilliant. Highly recommend for a week away!
Jessica Studdert, Walnut Cottage – August 2020
Loved the location – you couldn’t be in a better place in Aldeburgh…we counted 50 steps to the beach on our way to morning swims in the sea! Avocet Cottage is fitted out to a higher standard than the photographs suggest – and the garden is surprisingly big, considering how central the cottage is. We had a great time there!
Guy Warrillow, Avocet Cottage – August 2020
A brilliant place to stay with lots of options nearby and a great flat for relaxing and staying in. Really highly recommended.
Tom Brown, Leiston Apartment – August 2020
A perfect place to stay for 3 to 4 nights. Very compact. A great little find. So quaint and quirky
Christine Brown, The Bay Tree Studio – August 2020
Bloom cottage is in a really great location, just a minute’s walk away from the beach and right near all the shops (and the delicious fish and chip spot!). It’s a beautiful old cottage which has been done up really nicely inside and has everything you need. Check in was easy with a lock box and communication was great. Would highly recommend staying here, we’ll definitely come back!
Kirstie Read, Bloom Cottage – August 2020
Beaver Cottage is set in a wonderful location with beautiful views down to the River Alde and you have free access to the extensive grounds. This was our first family holiday post-COVID and was a truly lucky find. The cottage, gardens and grounds have been simply fantastic – our grandson has just loved being “outside” and we’ve all enjoyed the walks down to the river beach and along the river. The kitchen is very modern and well-equipped and we also made use of the gas barbecue twice during our stay. The owners of the property live next door and provided us with plenty of useful tips and recommendations for our stay ,,,thank you so much we’ve had a lovely holiday.
Jo Waddingham, Beaver Cottage – August 2020

Nice place about one minute from lovely beach. Also cool the fact that it overlooks the country club where day, week or per (tennis) game rates are available. Love Thorpeness and surrounding areas.
Ben Mathieson, 2 Bell Lodge – August 2020
Great location – steps away from the beach. Spacious house – especially communal areas. Lovely kitchen – enough & quality equipment. Kids (aged 9-15 loved the space. Really prompt and friendly response when kettle needed replacing. Loved Aldeburgh too – Would definitely come & stay again.
Claire Straus, Lyndhurst House – August 2020
We much enjoyed our holiday and our time at The Lookout. It is a wonderful house, with its sensational views across the Deben and out to sea (with constant interest in the light and reflections, the coming and going of boats, and the passing walkers and their dogs adding interest). The house is well-equipped and comfortable and that made the holiday all the more enjoyable. The hamlet of Felixstowe Ferry is also delightful, with lovely walks by the sea and the river.
Sandy Nairne, London, The Lookout – August 2020
Great house in a great location, just one minute walk to the beach but also with very generous and private garden space. Great walking and cycling around the area and lots to see and do.

Abigail Healy, York House – July 2020
It’s a beautiful apartment in a quiet setting. It was very stylish, just how it looks in the photos and exceptionally clean. Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages was quick to respond and very understanding. It was perfect for a staycation and we would thoroughly recommend the apartment. There’s a lovely pub a short walk away and we’d recommend the Indian in Wickham Market as well.
Thank you for a brilliant stay in your apartment. The apartment was beautiful and exceptionally clean. We had a lovely stay and would recommend the apartment to others.
Emma Davies, Maple – Three Tuns Apartments – July 2020
We were very pleased with our stay. The property is a pleasant walk into town and the gardens in which the annexe is in are absolutely lovely. The hosts said we were free to sit in the gardens if we liked and if we had been there longer with a bit more Sun we would have been very tempted. The shower was good and big enough to fit me in comfortably and I’m over to metres tall. We both slept well and it was very quiet all day and night. I believe the property is new to being rented out, we are sure it will be popular.
John Gill, Aldeburgh Annexe – July 2020
My wife and I stayed at The Courtyard, before lockdown, in March 2020. We were immediately struck by the flat’s superb position. Aldeburgh High Street is-literally-on your doorstep, there’s a lovely outside space at the back with beautifully maintained gardens, and room to park too. In warm weather, it’s a real suntrap!
Inside, the flat is spacious and airy, and the stable-style front door allows you to bring a little bit of the atmosphere inside, or to just gaze out and watch the world go by. There’s everything you’d need in terms of kitchenware and other equipment, and the bed in the main room is tremendously comfortable. There’s also a nice DAB radio for those mornings when you don’t feel like getting out of bed in a rush!
It’s a perfect base for exploring what Aldeburgh has to offer. It’s proximity to the beach and shops means you really can just pop out to catch some sun, buy a coffee, or watch the waves, and pop back in without even thinking about it!
We would highly recommend The Courtyard to anyone – you won’t be disappointed!
Will and Esther LIngard, The Courtyard – July 2020
You could not be closer to the beach. Stunning views from every room. A very high end, well presented place to stay.
Johanna Jennings, Trehafod – July 2020
The flat is in a great location , 5 mins from Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. There is everything you need with 2 good sized bedrooms and a lovely sunny aspect. We took bikes with us and there are bike racks outside or you can take them into the flat if you’re careful carrying them up the stairs . We had great fun cycling in the area and no parking issues in town. Having said that it was all a lot quieter than I’d expect July to be. Everything has been COVID thought through and the flat was lovely and clean with a comfy bed , slept very well !
Jayne Roskell, Leiston Apartment – July 2020
Great place in a perfect location.
Jamie Barwick, 5 The Haven – July 2020
The booking process and follow up with Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages was superb.. with very efficient staff who answer the phone and emails immediately. It was a nice surprise to discover that the property was detached as we thought perhaps the property was split into two. Very well equipped… literally home from home. Best we have come across. Numerous kitchen cupboards, large fridge freezer and a brilliant large cooker and hob! Very comfy beds..crisp white bedding and beautiful towels. Great black out curtains and blinds. Extremely quiet area…Not a sound at night from the bedrooms. There was road noise of course when sitting in the garden, which was large and well planted. It was great to dry our washing on the rotary airer in garden each day!
Very comfortable homely living room. Location of property is fabulous… we were hesitant about not being in Aldeburgh town Centre, but found it to be perfect… just a 5 minute drive to Thorpeness and Aldeburgh beaches and centres. Restaurants nearby.. Brudenell Hotel, The Dolphin and The Parrot were friendly with great food. Highlight of the holiday: Walberswick… not to be missed. Superb beach and Quay with ferry to Southwold . I would not hesitate to book with Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages. Great friendly, efficient service!
Julie Farrar, 69 Saxmundham Road – July 2020

Laura Curle, Meadow View – July 2020
A great house in a wonderful town. The upstairs extra sitting area is great, as it means you get two lovely areas to relax. We stayed as a family of 6 and it was perfect for us: the kids could go to the beach safely or visit the local shops. We felt very reassured that the house has been made COVID-ready. Thanks again!
Robert Minto, Lyndhurst House – July 2020
Surprisingly quiet and tranquil. Small but perfectly formed. Fantastic garden to sit in and easy to walk into town.
Steve Gould, Aldeburgh Annexe – July 2020
We loved staying in this comfortable cottage in its fantastic location.
Gemma Wooster, 4 Sanctuary Cottage – July 2020
The accommodation was ideal for four adults with very comfortable beds and ensuite facilities. We ate our meals in the cottage which was spacious with a great outdoor space. The location was also spot on with the beach a few minutes walk away and great coastal walks. We walked into Thorpeness and Aldeburgh which were both worth a visit. We booked the cottage as a last minute break following Covid 19 lockdown and it was the perfect place to go in the circumstances. We only stayed for three nights but we all wished it could have been longer. Would certainly come back and recommend to others, and having the option of the other accommodation on site would mean we would consider coming back with a larger party.
Cosmopolitan, The Dower Cottage – July 2020
Absolutely ideal location for exploring the area and Thorpeness itself is beautiful and an ideal base. The lily Pad is immaculately presented with the comfiest bed and fantastic facilities – we wish we could have stayed all week!

Absolutely gorgeous house, equipped with everything and amazing views. You couldn’t be closer to the sea here and its conveniently located at the quieter end of Aldeburgh but still extremely close to shops, restaurants and the best fish & chips ever. The apartments are modern and spacious and in a lovely quiet location. We had everything we needed for a great stay & the precautions taken for covid-19 were very reassuring. A lovely place to stay!

We loved staying at Stoney Beach, perfect house for a family get away of mixed ages. House was spotless and so well presented. It had everything you needed and the location is second to none. We’d love to come back at Christmas.
Natalie Legg-Stoddart, Stoney Beach – July 2020
Super cute house, moments to the centre but quiet too. Fab new kitchen, bathroom and beds. Cute courtyard both back and front. Extra loo and basin in the master which was great! Would definitely return. Thanks!
Catherine Courtauld, Ivy Cottage – July 2020
We have been coming to Aldeburgh for over 12 years but this was our first stay at 14 Market Place. It’s excellent value for money and the view from the first floor lounge is one of the best in Aldeburgh, rain or shine. I can only recommend this property. It’s a great base with everything our family of 6 needed for the week.
Helen Whitt, 14 Market Place – July 2020
A great little place ,ideal for a romantic getaway, clean, comfy would go again.
Gill Miller, The Bay Tree Studio – July 2020
Lovely stylish flat with everything you need, a good base to visit, Southwold, Dunwich, Aldeburgh & the lovely surrounding area. Booking was easy and all communication were great. Definitely recommend.
Jackie Shields, Leiston Apartment – July 2020
We enjoyed our stay in the Sycamore apartment. Great location, quiet and within minutes of the A12 with easy access to some of Suffolk’s more popular spots (Felixstowe 30mins one way, Southwold 30mins the other). Check-in was easy with a key safe meaning we could arrive late at night after work. The apartment was clean and was well stocked in terms of cooking utensils. Overall, compact modern apartment that suited our needs. Thanks for a great stay.
Andrew Dale, Three Tuns Apartments – Sycamore – July 2020
What a lovely weekend we had! The Tower is so well-positioned – a 2 mins walk from the beach and a 5 mins walk to Thorpeness centre with the Meare and local pub. Such a beautifully designed and immaculate house with an interesting secret staircase which my kids loved. We loved every bit of our time there and would definitely revisit. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! xxxxx
Amelia, The Tower – July 2020
Lovely property, clean, spacious and such a great location. The kitchen is well equipped and the 3 bathrooms are clean with good showers. The property is a one minute walk to the beach and all the shops are just a very short stroll away. Really enjoyable and comfortable stay, thank you.

Mrs Pat Curran, Solihull, The Dower House – July 2020
This has to be the Premier Property in Aldeburgh …. on the sea – front and back terrace … beautifully appointed – loads of space and style / we can’t wait to return.
Adrian Melrose – Gunfleet – July 2020
A beautiful little studio with everything you could want, and the beach only a short walk away! The Dolphin Inn is an excellent pub located a 2 minute walk away, serving delicious food and drinks. Bay Tree Studio is the perfect choice for a coastal getaway! Thank you for the amazing stay! It was the perfect getaway!
Charlotte – Bay Tree Studio – July 2020
Beautiful house in the best location, very clean and modern. Room in the roof quite tight for height space – not sure a 6ft 2” person would be too comfortable!! Bathrooms all immaculate and done to a very high standard – would definitely recommend it.
Kate Smart, Packington – Swn-y-don – July 2020
A lovely cottage convenient for Aldeburgh which is a wonderful seaside town with great amenities. Two supermarkets and a pub just minutes away. A perfect place to stay for a Suffolk coastal break.
Celia Dignan, Sleepers Cottage – July 2020
The House was wonderful! Thank you!
Celia Pilkington, Shore Cote – July 2020
A beautiful and clean house in a stunning and peaceful location.
Dominic Elliott, Crossing Cottage – July 2020
This is an exceptional property in an outstanding location. On the cliffs above the beach with views out to sea especially from the upper floors of the house. It is set down a secluded track, so feels very private and peaceful. It is part of a larger property (I assume what was the original Dower House) that has been divided into about four properties all holiday lets. The Dower House where we stayed has the best views facing over the sea, completely private entrance and we hardly noticed anyone else. The house has obviously been newly renovated, so feels very clean and new, all new appliances etc. All four bedrooms are reasonably spacious and have en-suite bathrooms plus two extra toilets, there is a lounge and tv room and well-sized, well-equipped kitchen. We had a wonderful week and would definitely rent this house again.
Cathy Butcher, The Dower House – July 2020
A lovely cottage in a really good position. The cottage is nice and the amenities are good . Overall a lovely place to stay in Aldeburgh.
Stuart Willis, Bloom Cottage – July 2020
We had a lovely stay in a great location…right next to the beach. We didn’t want to leave!
Stephanie Edmundson, Dower Retreat – July 2020
Perfect place for a relaxed time away. Two mins to get to the beach, comfy beds, wonderful outdoor space and a well equipped kitchen. The house is tucked away and you don’t see or hear anyone else while you’re there, bliss!
Lucy Wren, Dower Cottage – July 2020
Great location, easy to access the high street and the beach but very quiet at the same time. Loved spending the evenings in the beautiful living room. The beds were very comfortable, good quality mattresses! 3rd bedroom was a little small/snug (we had a 4 year old in there and he liked it) and the outside space is more for a coffee than a full blown garden.
Mark Byrne, Little Tern Cottage – July 2020
I just want to put in writing my appreciation with the way you have dealt with my enquiry and subsequent booking with your company.
When we first started looking for a family cottage for New Year I was anticipating some difficulties due to the current coronavirus crisis. However having researched many cottages throughout the country with various companies who were presenting themselves as trading during this period, the experience was much worse that I had anticipated. Ranging from no response from website enquiries to half hearted e-mail contact, with the ultimate being a company with only a phone contact who left me in excess of half an hour with recorded messages saying they would be with me soon and then changed the message to tell me the office was now closed!
Having then lost all will to look further my daughter took over and found the ideal cottage through Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages. From the initial enquiry to the ultimate booking, the whole experience was very pleasant and made me feel a valuable customer.
We are looking forward to New Year and the prospect of booking further family holidays in the years to come.
Hazel Bater – June 2020
I just wanted to thank everyone at Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages for being so helpful when we had to arrange the cancellation of our planned holiday recently. I was particularly impressed with the positive and professional way your staff responded to my enquiries and concerns, especially when you must be facing such a huge set of problems for yourselves. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we are in touch again to re-book, perhaps in the Autumn or Spring, and we look forward to a time when we can enjoy little luxuries like holidays again.
Jackie & Graham Phillips – May 2020
Thank you for presenting such a lovely place to stay. The cake and the wine were wonderful! This place is just the best …..!
Colin Dix, The Lily Pad – May 2020
Amazing house with the backyard next to an amazing beach. The house is huge, new and very clean. I went there for a business trip but I would recommend it for long rental vacations as well.
Nikos Galanis, The Dower House – May 2020
We were key workers who had to travel to the area for work. Good support was given from Aldeburgh Costal Cottages in finding us somewhere appropriate to stay, can’t fault them.
Thank you so much for letting me know that my refund has been actioned; this is very much appreciated. I do hope that Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages continues to thrive in these very difficult times and that I am able to re-book with you in the not too distant future.

Fantastic property. True to photos, spotlessly clean, warm and well equipped not only with household goods but games and activities. Looking out over the mere at the Swans and other water birds was a real delight. Absolute gem of a find for a large party – would certainly use again
Rhonda Willats, Hermitage House – March 2020
‘Excellent Stay’ A wonderful cottage, really homely! The facilities are excellent and can only be beaten by the location! A plethora of great pubs key for a fantastic weekend. We couldn’t believe how close to the beach we would be and the town is only a 2 minute walk away! We really enjoyed the wide array of walks, as did our border, we will definitely be back!
Nathan N, Puddleduck Cottage – March 2020
Great house is an idyllic location. We hope to come back one day!!
Sarah Freeman, Meare House – March 2020
Excellent place! Great location, very close to the sea and local shops/restaurants. Lovely, open plan stylish living area, super comfy bed. All nice and clean, great facilities. Lots of board games. Best bit was the lookout tower, great to sit and watch the sea! We had a great time, thank you!
Gemma Calvey, Seascape – March 2020
‘Perfect place to escape’ Lovely stay for a relaxing break. Great facilities and perfect location between the town and beach. The house is cosy and welcoming and the beds extremely comfortable. Some great walks for our dog too. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Jess, Puddleduck Cottage – March 2020
We loved staying here, it might look quirky but ignore the appearance – it’s a gem! Quiet, comfortable and relaxing with all you need.
Bruce Pibworth, 7 Uplands – March 2020
Robins Egg is very modern and stylish. Beautifully light and bright. Pure radio for music and Netflix for nights in. Cooker microwave and fridge. The bed is super comfy, and the wet room is gorgeous. Shower amazing. No outside space to speak of, the table and chairs tucked in between where cars park. However, on the upside, having your car right outside the door for getting cases in and out was a godsend. And of course there are so many beautiful open spaces to walk or eat in Aldeburgh anyway. Everything so easy. A lovely place to stay. Would recommend.
Rio Lowe, Robin’s Egg – March 2020
Amazing place. The best air bnb experience yet x
Ben Cornish, Dormy House – March 2020
Meadow View is in an excellent location for exploring surrounding areas. Property was as described in listing and as shown in the photographs. We were a group of 3 couples and one dog and had a very enjoyable long weekend there in March 2020.
