REVIEWS AND GUEST COMMENTS

Thank you so much. Such a shame we couldn’t go. If we ever decide to stay in your area again I will definitely use your company. I have had such excellent service throughout.
Jane Darvill – February 2021

Thank you. That is the most amazing customer service and we are so pleased you have been able to shift the dates. Thank you again for doing such a great job so quickly.
Alison Carr – February 2021

Wow what a great apartment, stunning views, contemporary decor and a delight to stay in. My partner and I stayed here in early December 2020. The views over the sea were uninterrupted and allowed us to switch off and relax. A short walk to all the shops and restaurants and a fantastic balcony. The team at Aldeburgh coastal cottages were a delight to deal with and really looked after us. Cannot wait to go back.
Terry, Crag’s Nest – December 2020

Lovely stylish place for a quiet coastal getaway and nice pub across the road
Gavin, The Lookout – December 2020

Had a lovely stay in dreamy Aldeburgh, the house is larger than it looks in photos and fully equipped. We LOVED the log burner in the living room, made our December stay really cosy. The team were really helpful and easy to contact. Aldeburgh is a great little place to stay we particularly enjoyed all the independent shops and how friendly everyone is. We could recommend the Escargot sur Mer pop up restaurant and also walking up to Thorpeness along the beach for a pub lunch in the very cosy Dolphin Inn
Amy Dobson, Mansard House – December 2020

Great little apartment, amazing location, with a brilliant view over the beach. Even in winter I sat on the balcony and enjoyed the view. Well furnished and laid out space, made for a very relaxing and peaceful stay. Would certainly return in summer.
Jason Rainbow, York House – December 2020

Shell Cottage is an ideal place for a visit to Aldeburgh. A lovely main room, light and airy and in a perfect location. This was a wonderful stay, we adored Shell Cottage and we had limitless personal help under the difficult circumstances of the Tiers and Covid. We shall please be back!!
Shell Cottage, Annabel Sebag-Montefiore – December 2020

We loved Jasmine Cottage for a cosy Christmas getaway! Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages was accommodating of everything we asked and make sure the check in was easy. They even left a Christmas quiz for us to do! We would stay again!
Jessica Sallie, Jasmine Cottage – December 2020

Fantastic stay at Elm Cottage and experience with Aldeburgh Cottages. The house was exactly what we needed – lovely open plan downstairs living area, small but perfectly formed bedrooms on the middle floor, and a lovely attic master with en suite. The house was sparkling clean on arrival, had all the amenities you might need in terms of the kitchen and a large family bathroom (helpful with a 5 month old). In terms of customer service, Aldeburgh Cottages were brilliant. Really responsive to queries and emails, and went the extra mile to ensure our stay wasn’t disrupted by covid-19. They also organised a Christmas Tree for the property which was a lovely touch.
Dora, Elm Cottage – December 2020

It’s a lovely cottage just a stones throw from the sea and the e nearby cafes and shops. We really enjoyed the space. Cozy and chic. Everything you need for a break away.
Tricia Rogers, Little Tern Cottage – December 2020

Thank you all for a for a smooth experience, from booking to refund. My family and I have vowed to spend a belated Christmas together in The Pink House at some point in the future. We hope we will not have to wait too long! Best wishes to you all there.
Sylvia Jakubowski – December 2020

This flat is in a brilliant location on the High Street, close to all the pubs, restaurants and cafes. The flat is warm, well equipped and well maintained. We had a very comfortable stay.
Sure Rimes, Polly’s – December 2020

A wonderful trip for my husbands 40th! Not the big family group and plans we had hoped for, but we were met with a wonderfully clean property. Really comfortable beds, great cooking equipment and stunning location. We managed to visit Southwold as well as enjoying beautiful Aldeburgh. Sat outside at the cross keys in Aldeburgh for a great lunch and enjoyed an amazing meal at the Swan in Southwold (outdoors and covered). Would definitely recommend hiring a hot tub which we did and the star gazing is amazing! We will be back! Thank You!
Alexandra Viljoen, Swiss Cottage – December 2020

I’d just like to say, and I don’t do this lightly, I think you have given me the best service i have ever received from anyone for anything professional, prompt, understanding thank you so much
Martin Gibbons, 2 Hazelwood – December 2020

Absolutely amazing house. Amazing views and would 100% come back
Matthew, Crossing Cottage – December 2020

The Waterfront Cottage was perfectly positioned and a lovely space. My two year old daughter called it the cosy house and didn’t want to leave ever! There was even Christmas decorations to make it feel extra special. Would love to stay again.
Nel, Waterfront Cottage – December 2020

Great location for the beach and high street – unbelievably close to both – barely couple of minutes walk. Parking on street – which was fine in December – but very close public car park anyway. Very clean, modern, and very efficient hosts. Small house but perfect for our needs -good outdoor space for puppy to get out to, great to have separate toilet downstairs as well as bathroom upstairs. Spacious double, 2 small singles but perfectly fine for a short stay (even with older children like us – age 15 and 11). Nespresso machine, everything you need in a kitchen – even a small dishwasher! I would very much recommend this cottage!!
Philippa Donnelly, Little Tern Cottage – December 2020

It is a lovely and comfortable space, in a great location and a short walk to the beach. The host and agent are extremely helpful and quick to respond. I particularly liked the warming fire on a cold December night! A place I would love to return to in the summer and hopefully be able to take the boat out!
Sarah Fecondi, The Lily Pad – December 2020

A fab place to stay – they have thought of everything you could want! They’d even laid on a Christmas tree and wreath! Clean, comfortable, great location
Lizzie Newell, Little Tern Cottage – December 2020

Beautiful house, incredible location on the High Street, wonderful kitchen and dining area in particular.
Gillian Mcdonald, Mansard House – December 2020

We had a superb stay at Bloom cottage…. wonderful interior and extremely clean… we will definitely return… fantastic location too!
Jo Sindall, Bloom Cottage – December 2020

A beautiful home away from home , hosts were very efficient and accommodating, will definitely go back.
Marlene Matos, Pigwig Cottage – December 2020

Great location, stylish house and has everything you need for a home away from home getaway. Parking right outside was very easy. 5min walk to the high street. Comfortable beds and sofas. The 1st floor sitting room is lovely to watch the sunrise in over the sea and beach! Loved the house and are looking to potentially rebook for the 2021 summer!!
James Digby, 14 Market Cross Place – December 2020

Nice place, close to the beach and had a good size kitchen and living space.
Graham Macpherson, 4 Bell Lodge – December 2020

Appletree Cottage is a delightful place surrounded by quintessentially English fields – there are pheasants, foxes and hedgerows. I stayed there for six weeks and had a lovely time – the place is very convenient, sparkling clean and the hosts are very helpful and responsive.
Martin Bratt, Appletree Cottage – December 2020

A perfect place in a perfect location absolutely faultless. Thanks for a perfect few days 2nd time visit and won’t be our last we miss it already xx

What a gem of a place – right on the sea front, super-clean, cosy, warm, lovely views! Would definitely recommend.
Rebecca Folland, Swn-y-don – December 2020

Loved our stay here. The place was bigger than I was expecting and is very roomy but still cosy for two people. Great location and very peaceful. Loved the decor
Jasmine Sparrow, Bloom Cottage – December 2020

A very stylish Cottage with all the amenities needed for a short or long stay. We had a wonderful break at Jasmine Cottage which met and surpassed all of our expectations. Thank you
Ian Daly, Jasmine Cottage – December 2020

A stunning retreat. An incredible apartment with the best view of the sea. Instantly we were able to switch off, relax and recharge our batteries. Brilliantly equipped kitchen, thoroughly enjoyed our stay – could while away hours and hours looking out the expansive bay window. Many thanks.
Miriam, Cambridge, Crags Nest – December 2020

Cute little cottage in a great location. Really loved staying in this little cottage. It was full of character, and had everything we needed for our short stay with plenty of space for the two of us. It was great to be so close to the centre of town so we could walk everywhere we needed to go, and the front garden gave us a bit of privacy from the high street. The sofa and bed were both really comfy so we could relax and get a good night’s sleep, and the upstairs snug makes a great dressing room as well as a nice place to relax – just watch your head on the low doorway leading into the bedroom! The kitchen was well-stocked but it is pretty small with limited counter space so it wouldn’t be ideal if you were a keen cook who likes to take up lots of room, but there is a generous sized dining table right next door which you can use for food prep. Wifi was fast and having a smart TV meant we could watch a bit of Netflix after coming back from dinner. Would definitely stay there again, and would definitely recommend to any couples visiting Aldeburgh.
Louis, London, Bloom Cottage – December 2020

Managed to stay here just before lockdown, this is a beautiful cottage and perfect for a family stay. We had lovely walks from the door and relaxed family meals around the huge kitchen table. A very positive memory from this awful year.
Gill H, Elloughton, Crossing Cottage – December 2020

Fantastic location!. Stayed over October half term for a few days. Location was excellent very close to the beach and the centre of Thorpe ness. Although the weather was grim we got out for some bracing walks in the local area. Dolphin pub is a must for dinner amazing vegan menu. House was very comfortable. Bedrooms were large and we loved the triple aspect main bedroom. Easy to park as well. Really nice surrounds of the country club. Would love to go back again. Thanks for a great stay!
Zoe M, Essex, Elloughton, 2 Ogilvie Lodge – December 2020

Truly delightful. Such a beautiful house. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and the oven worked really well. Big enough to cook for a large party if needed. Dining room table was nice and big. Rooms were furnished to a lovely standard. The location from the beach was fantastic. A short walk. We would love to stay again.
LM, Milton Keynes, Turret House – December 2020

Pleasant cottage in tucked away location. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. It’s location is pretty central for visiting Suffolk coast and surrounding countryside. All in all a pleasant few days spent in Suffolk.
John B, 1 Roseanna Cottage – December 2020

Very lovely place. We had a wonderful break in Aldeburgh. The cottage was very cosy and peaceful and fairly accessible to the town 10 minute walk. Beautiful part of the country and would definitely recommend and we would stay again . Thank you

Trusted customer from Trip Advisor, Norwich, Crossing Cottage – December 2020

Thimble Cottage is really well situated for visiting the Suffolk Coast and surrounding areas. Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Minsmere, Dunwich and Southwold all being in easy reach It is beautifully quiet but has a pub and handy local shop within a stones throw! The cottage is well furnished and extremely comfortable, the garden is small but secure – perfect for our dog. Good kitchen and bathroom, everything you need. Great to have a wood burner to settle down in front of after a day out walking. The beautiful fireplace is a real feature of the cottage. Thimble Cottage is perfect for a couple looking for a character property for a short break/week on the Suffolk Coast
Amanda T, Thimble Cottage – December 2020

Very nice property. Lovely clean compact property in the heart of Aldeburgh. And it has parking which is a real positive. Would re-book
Mark, Ashford, Stones Throw – December 2020

An amazing house in a great location.
Kingsley Manning, Stoney Beach – November 2020

The cottage was really lovely and we had a really nice stay. As mentioned in other reviews it is quite hard to find in the dark, even with directions. The cottage was immaculate and the bedroom and kitchen are really lovely, under floor heating in the bathroom was particularly nice! We couldn’t fault the cottage and we had a lovely break. I think it would be a lovely place to stay in the summer with the patio and BBQ.
Jennifer McEnhill, The Dairy Cottage – November 2020

Fantastic location and beautiful accommodation. If you want to have a break away from it all, but have fabulous restaurants and food in walking distance, this is the place for you.
Lorraine Goldsmith, 1 Westgate – November 2020

Lovely property. Everything you need. Warm and cosy and 30 seconds from the beach, surrounded by lovely walks. Would thoroughly recommend it!
Susan Centonze, 2 Bell Lodge – November 2020

What a lovely home! Everything you could possibly want or need is there for you, including a bottle of wine. We found it a little difficult to locate initially but, when we did ,it didn’t disappoint . Spotlessly clean and warm welcoming.
Denise James, Seascape – November 2020

It’s a charming ‘lodge-type’ house with a very spacious feel and daylight pouring in on every side. Very comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, strong wifi, efficient central heating and a lovely wood-burner in the lounge. The house is tucked away in its own private grounds, which are vast and stunningly beautiful. We were there in time for the spectacular leaf display happening wherever you looked, but I imagine it’s especially lovely in the summer, sitting outside in the open-yet-secluded garden. Briar Hill is very well situated: there’s plenty to explore in the local area, with endless beach walks just 10 mins away in the car. We would certainly stay here again.
Nick Martin, Briar Hill – November 2020

Clean bright warm terrace house. Has everything you would need for a comfortable stay including a private garden.
Joy Williams, Walnut Cottage – November 2020

Lovely apartment in great location on the High Street above a friendly hair salon. The views from the balcony are fabulous. The apartment is sparkling clean and has everything you need for a visit to the lovely town of Aldeburgh.
Al Milnes, York House – November 2020

Fun long weekend in Aldeburgh – our first time here. Particularly enjoyed the combination of sea view and log burner at this time of year. Fantastic location for exploring the town and people watching. The large window seat is a real highlight. Well equipped if you wanted to take advantage of local fish, seafood, delis etc – self catering is a doddle. Bed comfy and main bedroom facing west was quiet, and nice and dark for a restful night. Would like to go back in Spring or Summer when the days are longer.
Lisa Holmes, Crag’s Nest – November 2020

You won’t be disappointed; the house is beautiful. All rooms are very well kitted out. Plenty of light and space. Great location.
Beverley Collingwood, Dormy House – November 2020

The perfect location to get the best of Aldeburgh. We popped out for fresh bread every morning before heading to the beach – both minutes away. Thanks for a great stay.
Alice Lloyd, The Courtyard – November 2020

Fantastic location, couldn’t fault it. Really central for the high street & restaurants (and fish & chips), a stone’s throw from the beach, and parking space included. Lovely apartment, really well equipped and a perfect base for our long weekend away.
Sophie Everest, Beachcomber – November 2020

Lovely property! We really enjoyed our stay here, just outside of Aldeburgh. Great living area and the kitchen was superb and very well equipped. Comfy and cosy and lots of space to walk our old cocker spaniel. The bathrooms and showers are excellent and we had nice trips to Southwold/Aldeburgh/Snape – ideally located. Thank you for our stay.
Charlotte Hall, Meadow View – November 2020

Excellent little cottage and great location
Simon Armitage, The Lobster Pot – November 2020

What a lovely apartment – we loved the lookout tower, especially in the morning. Fantastic to be back in the Aldeburgh, we fell quite at home here now. Looking forward to our next trip, already! The apartment is in a great location, very comfortable and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. Seascape will definitely be top of our list for the next time we come back.
Trusted customer, Seascape – November 2020

A really lovely house in a very secluded location. The kitchen and living rooms downstairs are really great family rooms and have lots of space for children, as well as being very cosy with the log burners
Chris Callanan, The Dairy House – November 2020

Great apartment in fab location, only a stones throw from beach, pubs and all other amenities. Top quality fixtures and fittings make this a stylish and comfy venue.
Ross Urquhart, Seascape – November 2020

‘Faultless’ – Tastefully furnished, very well equipped and also spotlessly clean. Situated in a quite but convenient location. We were very impressed.
Trusted customer, Pinky Cottage – November 2020

Thank you very much for the way you handled this matter…..the funds have been received. Both Teresa and myself are so impressed with the service from ACC (Special mention to Angela and Elizabeth) and as we have placed Thorpeness on our must revisit list, soon, ACC will be our first port of call for accommodation needs. Thanks to everyone and please keep safe. My Best.

Wonderful accommodation right in the centre of Aldeburgh. Clean and comfortable with plenty of space for 2. This property has parking which is an added bonus in this lovely seaside town.
Trusted customer, Bedfordshire, The Courtyard – October 2020

Clean, modern and spacious apartment ideally situated for the beach and other sights of Aldeburgh. Secure off-street parking was a significant benefit. Highly recommended!
Keith Underwood, Beachcomber – October 2020

This is a very comfortable house in a brilliant location. The house is extremely well equipped – probably better than my own house. The Dolphin pub is a few seconds away and were so very accommodating – booking us a dog friendly table to suit us. The Suffolk Coasts and Heath walks from the house are superb and a walk across the Aldeburgh made a great afternoon out. Thorpeness was very pretty but due to the weather we weren’t able to take full advantage of the boating lake or golf course. All in all a really comfortable stress free stay in a fabulous location. Thank you thank you Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages.
Fiona Ashcroft, 18 Pilgrim’s Way – October 2020

Great location and very handy to have off street parking. Great stay – many thanks.
Will Daley, Watermans – October 2020

The pink house was amazing. The property is lovely and spacious. We especially loved the log burner in the evenings. The location is great and only about 100m to the sea. The walks around the area are also great and the walk into Aldeburgh is not that far (only about 2 miles). The team at Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages were great hosts and contacted me a couple of days before for access and if I needed any further info or directions. Overall a great stay and somewhere we would definitely return too. Thanks
Ben Abbott, The Pink House – October 2020

Amazing character and stunning location. Highly recommended. We really loved our stay at your house, it’s gorgeous and will definitely be booking in again soon! Hopefully minus covid! Thanks for a wonderful place to stay!
Victoria Biscoe, Shore Cote – October 2020

Comfortable beds; well equipped kitchen. Loved the wood burning stove. Huge grounds to run around in and beautiful surrounding area to visit.
Hannah Mullen, Briar Hill – October 2020

Good size accommodation and very clean. Some have mentioned about the road but we didn’t really notice it. Plenty of places to explore in the surrounding area. Really impressed with the size of the accommodation and cleanliness. Was a wonderful stay.
George Griffin, 2 Hazelwood – October 2020

Sparkling clean, very well equipped kitchen, comfy beds. Fantastic location. Big cupboard of games for rainy days!
Catriona Taylor, Seascape – October 2020

We loved Puddleduck Cottage. Brilliantly equipped, fabulous powerful shower and spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds, and a great selection of games for the rainy afternoons. Centrally located in Aldeburgh, we were on the beach in minutes! Also dangerously close to our favourite Two Magpies Bakery!! There was nothing more we could have wished for. Welcome bottle of wine and beer were lovely touches, thank you! We loved it and wish we could have stayed longer!
Rebecca Mitchell, Puddleduck Cottage – October 2020

Great location, close to the beach
Charlotte Moseley, The Dower Retreat – October 2020

The property has lovely sea views, comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen and is in a great location, close to the beach and high street.
Flo Katesmark, York House – October 2020

We had a lovely stay. The house and garden are charming and Aldeburgh itself is a beautiful place with plenty to do.
Rob Martindill, Walnut Cottage – October 2020

Gorgeous cottage. Fab location. Everything you need. Clean, tidy, like home from home.
Julia Hogg, Ivy Cottage – October 2020

Lovely and quiet, cosy studio in pretty surroundings in a great position to explore the local area. 2 mins to lake, 5 to the sea. Lovely coastal walks to Aldeburgh one way and Sizewell the other.
Paul Matthews, The Bay Tree Studio – October 2020

Old rambling house in Thorpeness with great views and plenty of room: there’s separate dining and lounge rooms with a rumpus room out the back. There’s a well equipped kitchen and two bathrooms (albeit one has only a bath). It’s well placed in the village with short walks to the cafe, pub and beach. Aldeburgh is maybe a 20 to 25 minute walk away. Quiet and can easily accommodate big groups (although note most of the beds are single width). Instructions and communication are good. Recommended.
Paul Agapow, 3 The Haven – October 2020

Lovely comfortable home with a large garden in a great location. Great place to explore Suffolk!
Clare Henry, 18 Pilgrim’s Way – October 2020

Gorgeous well equipped cottage in a fantastic location
Nicola Neary, Puddleduck Cottage – October 2020

Our first Airbnb, surely they can’t all be as good as this place? A party of 4, we had a couple drop out at the last minute due to COVID issues. Lovely location, fantastically equipped, spotlessly clean could not have asked for more. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Exceeded all expectations, fantastic location, fantastically equipped, beautifully presented house.
Stephen Rash, 2 Ogilvie Lodge – October 2020

Brilliant location, lovely house.
Philip Bridgford, Swn-y-don – October 2020

A lovely clean, comfy little cottage. There was a nice pub and a co op close by too. Thank you, we loved our stay with you.
Rachel Dunmore-Sharples, Three Tuns Apartments – Weeping Willow – October 2020

Ideally situated right in the middle of town, facing onto the High Street, The Courtyard provides extremely comfortable and winter cosy accommodation – with a stable style front door and small garden room at the rear for warmer times. Fully equipped for self-catering, but with easy access to all retail shops, restaurants and of course Aldeburgh’s famous fish and chippy. It made a superb base from which to walk locally and explore this tranquil area of Suffolk. Car parking at the back (for a smallish car) certainly aided this relaxing “get away from it all” bolthole. Fully recommended. We have re-booked for 2021!
Jeff & Chris Coleman, The Courtyard – October 2020

Lovely place. Couldn’t fault the accommodation. Will book again as it’s the perfect location to explore Suffolk.
Dinesh Makwana, Three Tuns Apartments – Sycamore – October 2020

A wonderful light, airy house close to all the amenities of Aldeburgh. We enjoyed the large eat-in kitchen and the great en-suite shower room. We had lovely walks to Snape Maltings and the beach. Altogether a perfect place to stay. I would highly recommend.
Thanks so much; we had a wonderful stay. The house was contemporary, light and spacious and completely met our needs as a family. We all slept really well in the bedrooms and I particularly liked the en-suite shower room. We had great walks to Snape maltings and the beach at Aldeburgh and had delicious fish and chips. We all felt thoroughly refreshed going back to London and would highly recommend.
Camilla Freeman, Meadow View – October 2020

This was a wonderful house and a perfect getaway. The house was spotless and we spent many wonderful hours relaxing and walking by the sea. We will definitely try to book again in the future!

Great house. Great location. Lots of space in the house. Excellent WiFi. Lovely garden area too. Perfect spot to explore the area from.
Andrew Farrell, 7 Whinlands – October 2020

Fabulous cliff top location with stunning views from Dower House. Impeccably clean and comfortable.
Rebecca Fuller, The Dower House – October 2020

Picturesque old house with beautiful views of the Suffolk countryside. Great social place with all the amenities you need. Helpful helpful team at ACC allowed us to stay an extra hour before checking out. Found it very tricky to find it in the dark so would recommend going in the day light!
Robyn Turnock, The Dairy House – October 2020

Beautiful, peaceful and spacious house in a fantastic location with a lovely homely atmosphere. Beds and sofas super clean and comfortable. Thorpeness is a great place to stay. We loved the beach and Meare, the Dolphin pub, mini golf – and so many things to do in the area. Communication was fast and efficient, easy check-in. Really enjoyed a much needed, fun family week away.
Ann Perrins, 1 Westgate – October 2020

Perfect location and perfect for a family – mind out for a steep staircase though if you have bad knees!
Siobhan Horisk, Drift In – October 2020

Lovely house, in a great location, on the beach and near to the shops and restaurants. Centrally located with lovely sea views from the bedrooms. Very comfortable house. Would recommend it.
Penny Batchelor, Trehafod – October 2020

Lovely house and very well stocked kitchen with all implements and utensils etc! Just to note main bathroom is on ground floor which wasn’t an issue for us but may be if you need the toilet in the night lots! I’d happily stay here again in the future 🙂
Anna Kaye, Amber Cottage – October 2020

Excellent location, quiet and peaceful
Russel Bacon, The Bay Tree Studio – October 2020

Wonderful house. A really amazing find. Lots of room and in a great location. We will definitely be coming back. We had a fantastic break. The house was everything we could of wanted and more. Thanks for all your help and the later check out. It made all the difference. Hope to be back again soon.
Ian Shinn, Dormy House – October 2020

Absolutely stunning property within a couple of minutes walking distance to Aldeburgh town centre, and a lovely 40 minutes walk to Thorpeness. Contemporary and cosy cottage vibes, and well equipped.
Karla Brooklyn, Church Farm Lodge – October 2020

Spacious downstairs living space and a great space to socialise. Right in the middle of Aldeburgh which was fantastic!
Sadie Waddelow, Shell Cottage – October 2020

We really enjoyed this cottage and were delighted to find that we could not only use the garden allocated to the cottage but also the 11acres of grounds belonging to the adjoining house of the owners which grounds run down to the estuary. Very dog friendly. Enjoyed use of the kayaks. Owners friendly and helpful. good bird watching at low tide and good walks from the cottage along the sea wall and over the golf course.
John, Beaver Cottage – October 2020

This apartment is in a small development with its own secure parking space. The apartment is well furnished and equipped with quality white goods. A bottle of wine and nibbles was a nice welcome on arrival. The apartment is a short, 2 minute walk, from the Aldeburgh sea front. The high street, with its shops and restaurants is an equally short walk away. From Aldeburgh you are reasonable distances from a variety of places including Snape Maltings and Sutton Hoo for the Saxon hoard exhibition.
Trusted customer, Stones Throw – October 2020

The accommodation was first class. The property has been recently refurbished to a very high standard, with no expense spared. It is set in beautiful grounds close to the beach in a remote location. Ideal for those who like a nice peaceful holiday.
Ken, St. Albans, The Dower Cottage – October 2020

Everything was there that we needed, very clean and bright. Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages were kind enough to let us know when the apartment was ready for us and we were able to access it early.
Alan Baird, Three Tuns Apartments – Sycamore – October 2020

Fab long weekend here with friends- great property and great location. House very clean and warm and toasty, nice sea views from the lounge.
Trusted customer, The Tower – October 2020

‘Perfect bolthole’ An absolutely lovely house in a fabulous location. Couldn’t recommend this property highly enough. Right on the beach and only a few minute walk from the high street.
Sophie, Gunfleet – October 2020

Out 5th stay at this property & everything perfect as usual. Comfortable, quiet & well appointed. Highly recommended!!
Bishops, Meadow View – October 2020

The lodge was superb throughout. Had a wonderful stay everything you needed was there. Some nice places to visit along the coast. Yarmouth only an hour away. Just shame about the weather. Will look to stay there again but earlier in the year, so we can sit outside.
Rob C, Sole Bay Lodge – October 2020

‘Fantastic place cannot wait to go back’ This was truly a family break to remember. amazing location incredible house with an abundance of space as well. cannot wait to go back soon.
Wayne H, Stoney Beach – October 2020

The rear entrance to the property is about 50m from the beach and 200m from the centre of town. Brilliantly located. Inside, it has a far more “cottagey” feel about it than the pictures may suggest. All the facilities are excellent and it was immaculately clean, when we arrived. Due to my mistake with the booking, we had a day less than expected. Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages went to great lengths to extend our stay, for a day; unfortunately, someone else was arriving. We had a fantastic time and hope to return. Thank you
ZB, Watermans – October 2020

Super convenient and perfect size cottage just off the High Street. Ideal for short breaks for enjoying the area. Clean, tidy and relatively spacious.
Trusted customer, The Tiller – October 2020

This is just a beautifully designed holiday space. We loved our short weekend break here and felt extremely relaxed afterwards. The log fire was fantastic and so cosy. Our four-legged friend had a whale of a time and loved exploring the garden and all the walks around the area. We will definitely be back here again. What a little gem. Thank you so much for such a lovely stay at Bay cottage. It truly was a fabulous weekend away and I would love to go back sometime.
Nicola Darling, Bay cottage – October 2020

We were pleasantly surprised how large the land was around the cottage, really superb to have so much empty space to view. A great, cosy cottage, just right for two couples. Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages were efficient and offered good customer service, overall a most enjoyable stay, we would definitely consider returning.
Gaylord, Briar Hill – October 2020

Lovely flat with fabulous views and very clean.
Margaret Lamb, Crag’s Nest – October 2020

We stayed at Laurel Studio at the end of September and we thought we would send you a note to say how much we enjoyed our stay. The studio was comfortable, clean and very convenient to the town and sea front. It was our first self catering holiday for over 20 years and we could not have picked a nicer place. The owner came to see us and made us very welcome and you were efficient and friendly to deal with (even helping us find the place as we don’t have satnav !). Thanks again
Peter and Glenys Coleman, Laurel Studio – October 2020

Swn-y-Don is a lovely, very comfortable, modern, well equipped three storey house/cottage with its own large terrace and garden in the heart of Aldeburgh, just a pebble’s throw from the beach. The main Airbnb picture probably doesn’t do the cottage justice as I certainly didn’t feel I was right next to a car park. We throughly enjoyed our couple of days there: comfortable sofas and beds, spacious bedrooms though the downstairs living area might be a little cosy for four (although the outdoor space will help in the warmer months). The water pressure was ok, the heating most definitely worked and the WiFi signal was good. COVID-19 precautions and processes in place made us at ease. Would love to return and spend a little longer there.
Nigel Maddison, Swn-y-Don – October 2020

This cottage is in a great location within easy reach of beaches and lovely walks. Cottage is light and airy and quiet. Had a lovely week here with our dogs – the private enclosed garden is an asset.
Michelle Flegg, 1 Suffolk Cottage – October 2020

Really well appointed stylish cottage. Great spot with room for parking one car very close to the beach and shops. Aldeburgh is a lovely place to stay and we had great meals locally. Thanks so much for having us for a well needed break.
Lesley O’Keeffe, The Lobster Pot – October 2020

Peaceful, tranquil, yet perfectly located. Thank you – we had a lovely time esp in the restricted circumstances, and loved the location and the peace and quiet.
Pete Burt, 7 Uplands – October 2020

Great little place to escape in. Very comfortable and in the middle of all the main must-see locations along the Suffolk coast.
Zack Malik, 1 Roseanna Cottage – October 2020

This cottage is in an excellent position for exploring Aldeburgh and the surrounding area. It is well equipped and very comfortable. We had a perfect stay and would thoroughly recommend Ivy Cottage.
Caroline Pellereau, Ivy Cottage – October 2020

Highly recommended. Located in the garden of the main house, this is a cosy, well-appointed, faultlessly-presented studio flat in a perfect location for beach access. Quiet & peaceful with a friendly team at Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages. Easy parking on the property. Super-comfy bed. Naturally, being a studio flat, the cooking facilities are limited to a two-ring hob & microwave – but for a long weekend, who needs more? Will definitely be back at The Bay Tree Studio again.
Chris Benstead, The Bay Tree Studio – October 2020

We found 14 Market Cross Place to be a delightful mix of relaxed beachy comfort and luxury. The pictures, though stunning, dont quite do the gorgeous views justice. Oh, that sunrise from bed this morning! The house had ample space for feeding and entertaining our large family and the location could not be better for town and beach access. Would not hesitate to recommend and re-book.
Molly J, 14 Market Cross Place – October 2020

A clean, well equipped and spacious cottage. Beds are comfy too!
Barbara Liversedge, 2 Hazelwood – October 2020

Amazing in so many ways
Paul Williams, Lyndhurst House – October 2020

Thank you so much for a lovely week in beautiful Suffolk. We do enjoyed our relaxing stay. The cottage was perfect, clean and spacious.
Joss Atkin, Appletree Cottage – October 2020

Sycamore is ideal for a couple staying a couple of nights in the area. Convenient for visiting Sutton Hoo and Minsmere. Has the basic facilities you need for cooking and apartment was very clean. Just what we wanted for a two night stay in the area. Pleased with the COVID security details.
Richard Adams, Three Tuns Apartments – Sycamore – October 2020

Lovely house, nice quiet location. Down the road from 2 local shops but need to travel to get to a bigger supermarket. Nice and clean house which felt very homely. Thank you.
Becki Harris, Meadow View – October 2020

Great property and fab location, we arrived late Friday evening- the heating was on and the property was warm and welcoming. Really clean and tidy and lovely to sit in the lounge and watch the sea.
Jennie, The Tower – October 2020

Couldn’t have wanted for more! Meare House is easy to find with plenty of off road parking. A large, attractive and spacious house that is more than big enough to sleep 6, 8 or 10. It is well appointed and importantly in 2020 is spotlessly clean! In addition to all amenities there’s the pleasure of a log burner and an elegant bath in the large master bedroom as well as sight of the lake from a couple of the windows. Though the October weather precluded this, it is set up for visitors outside in the garden with table and chairs etc. For anyone wishing to visit the beauty of Thorpeness, Aldeburgh and Southwold we highly recommend it as a place to stay!
James Elliot, Meare House – October 2020

Cute cottage for two, tucked away down a farm track in peaceful location by the sailors path, and an easy walk to Snape. Had a lovely weekend despite almost continuous rain.
Emma Britton, The Dairy Cottage – October 2020

Fabulous. Thanks for sharing your property it was beautiful and near to everything.
Mandy Parsons, Pugwash Cottage – October 2020

A beautifully spacious house, with lovely homely touches.
Andrew Horton, The Dairy House – October 2020

Beautiful location with lots to do in the area. The house is clean with an exceptionally will equipped kitchen. Great place for a autumnal break.
Jessica Harris, 4 Old Homes – October 2020

Cottage is very spacious and comfortable, and location is brilliant, minutes from the beach, and plenty of great walks and good food in the area. Loved the cottage and the location, and thank you for being so responsive to the issues we raised while we were there. Hope to come back again.
Sharon Copitch, The Dower Cottage – October 2020

Perfect little getaway for a family and fury friends! Gorgeous views of the beach from the house and spotlessly clean. The house has ample space and is close to lots of local amenities such as fish and chip shops, restaurants, pubs, butchers and bakers. Would definitely recommend.
Charlotte Freeland, 14 Market Cross Place – October 2020

Great flat and locality as many of the other reviews have mentioned. Sunrises from the front window were great to see and the flat is definitely a comfortable home from home.
Sanda Evans, Leiston Apartment – October 2020

Amazing house and very peaceful location. Lovely views over nature reserve from the huge kitchen and impressive living room. Beds were very comfortable and good showers. You can walk down the footpath opposite to the village/sea in 10-15mins and into Aldeburgh (another 20mins). Lovely walking. Had an amazing time!
Emma Gillard, Crossing Cottage – October 2020

Lovely apartment – spacious and well-furnished. Great location. Would happily stay there again and recommend it to others.
Samir Nanji, Beachcombers – October 2020

A lovely cosy cottage. Perfect for a weekend break visiting this area of Suffolk. Highly recommend. We had a lovely weekend staying at Walnut Cottage. A great location for visiting this beautiful area of Suffolk. Can’t wait to visit here again.
Naomi Creane, Walnut Cottage – October 2020

What a lovely warm and cozy bungalow! It had all the amenities we could ask for and it was in a great location right in the middle of Thorpness. We went on walks everyday and used some of the maps that were in the “Things to do” draw. There is a great porch where we sat and ate lunch in the sunshine overlooking the garden. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.
Anna-Marie Buss, 7 Uplands – October 2020

Location was fantastic, house cosy and clean, host very helpful would stay again.
Rebecca Noble, 3 The Haven – October 2020

Great location with lots of walks from the property. Spacious, sparkling clean, well equipped. Great wood burning stove for cosy nights in.
Andrew Bennett, The Dairy House – October 2020

Just a few minutes from the village center of Snape it’s a lovely cottage in the popular destination in Suffolk. Famous farm shop on Friday Street is just a minute drive as well as a grocery store plus shell gas station is in opposite direction. The property is idyllic and it makes you feel really at home. For foreign tourists, lovely opportunity to experience English country style cottage life. Everything is kept clean and organized. At last but not the least, Elizabeth is a truly super host with flexibility and really care about you during your stay. Bet you’ll get the best customer experience here.
Shotaro Fujimoto, Japan – October 2020

Super property in a magical location. Truly wonderful. Thank you for a perfect break xx
Sandi Robinson-Miller, Invershin – October 2020

We enjoyed 6 nights here in early September. The instructions for arrival were perfect and supplemented by a call from the booking agent a couple of days prior. The Studio was exactly as described. It was clean, modern and well appointed. The owner knocked the door shortly after our arrival to check if everything was OK – another nice touch. Whilst it is tucked away from the main streets, it is only a short walk onto the sea front. At night it was nice and quiet which enabled a decent sleep. The personal parking place outside is useful. It is only a short walk along quiet tracks to the two supermarkets. We liked it so much that we have booked again for next year.
Roger from Chesterfield, Laurel Studio – October 2020

Beautiful place surrounded by gorgeous scenery! If you’re looking to escape from everything and just enjoy some peace and quiet this is by far the place to stay! Everything was spotlessly clean and felt very welcome on arrival. Fantastic hosts and fantastic place, can’t wait to stay again x
Emma Christmas, Appletree Cottage – October 2020

Words cannot describe how stunning both the property and the views were. The weather was pretty atrocious but we didn’t care as we sat and watched the sea in comfort. Pub and fresh fish on the doorstep an added advantage.
Claire Ward, The Lookout – October 2020

Superb cottage in a great location! Really enjoyed our stay, many thanks
Stephen Collins, The Old Customs House – October 2020

This flat is modern and stylish, the kitchen is beautiful with all the top spec appliances. There was no noise from the surrounding flats. It was easy to find.
Rachel Edwards, Leiston Apartment – October 2020

Mansard House was so beautiful! It felt really clean and well-appointed. We had such a great time there!
Caitlin FitzGerald, Mansard House – October 2020

Idyllic apartment in peaceful location in wonderful Aldeburgh. This was our 3rd short break to Aldeburgh, and this time we have found the perfect accommodation that we will definitely return to. The studio is so well layed out, and tastefully decorated throughout. You can stay here any time of the year – sit on the balcony with your morning coffee, or get all toasty in front of the wood burner. Laurel Studio is positioned perfectly, so quiet and peaceful, with views of the boats moored on the River Alde, yet a very short walk to the centre of Aldeburgh. We can’t recommend this apartment enough – we will return.
Marc D, Desborough, Laurel Studio – October 2020

Cute cottage for two, tucked away down a farm track in peaceful location by the sailors path, and an easy walk to Snape. Had a lovely weekend despite almost continuous rain.
Emma Britton, The Dairy Cottage – October 2020

We love the great outdoors and being able to have the dogs with us to explore the beautiful Suffolk coastline is brilliant. A lovely flat well positioned for the sea. Parking close by, beach pretty much on the doorstep, and everything you need for a self catering break away.
Karen Collier-Smith, 2 Bell Lodge – October 2020

A lovely and stylish flat that allowed for a brilliant trip in Suffolk.

Fantastic cottage. Really up to date, comfortable and has everything you need. Perfect location too. The place was absolutely amazing! Everything worked so well and the standard of the amenities was very high. We really enjoyed our stay.
Florence Sumption, Little Tern Cottage – October 2020

This is a lovely little property, perfect for two of us to stay in while visiting our daughter nearby. It’s warm and comfortable (we had quite a rainy week).
Alison Siriwardena, Britten Close -October 2020

Stony Beach is perfectly located being close to town amenities and to the beach. The views of the sea are stunning from the front of the house and of the Alde at the back. It is comfortable, spacious and well equipped. In fact, it probably has the best equipped kitchen I’ve ever stayed in! We loved it!
Robert Mason, Stony Beach – October 2020

Very nice upside down house tucked away in Thorpeness country club. You can see a little slice of sea between the properties that are on the sea front, the shingle beach is about thirty seconds walk from the front door. Highly recommend The Kitchen restaurant for hearty breakfasts and the like.
David Brown, 2 Bell Lodge – October 2020

‘Spotless, comfortable bolthole perfect for a single traveller’ Robin’s Egg is down a private road within a short walk of Aldeburgh High Street and beach. As a single lady, I felt totally secure in this property and it was an ideal size too. The bed is super comfortable, the shower room is superb and the smart tv with YouTube kept me happily entertained every evening. It is a self-contained part of a large family home and I was welcomed on my arrival by the lady of the house, who told me to knock if I needed anything. It’s lovely to be made to feel welcome at any time, but especially so at the moment.
Lyn – Cambridgeshire, Robin’s Egg – September 2020

‘Beautiful place to stay’ My partner and I stayed in The Dower Retreat for 4 nights and wish it could have been longer. The accommodation is spotless and tastefully furnished to a high standard. Loved the decor. Highly recommend this one bedroom apartment to stay in. I am sure we will go back again and explore further the lovely part of the Suffolk coastline.
Roger, The Dower Retreat – September 2020

Bow Fitzsimons, Appletree Cottage – September 2020

Amazing studio and really cosy.

Si Whaley, 3 Hazelwood – September 2020

An excellent property, perfect position and surrounded by all that you could want with walks, restaurants and the beach.
Sheila De Cordova, Stoney Beach – September 2020

A lovely little cottage in a great location. Everything that you need for a comfortable stay for two to three people. It’s in a great location just 5 minutes walk from the beach and the Mere, yet still very quiet. We stay here every year and have already booked for next year.
Julie F, 7 Uplands – September 2020

Splendid retreat. The Bay Tree Studio is a little gem set in a very secluded setting. It is just a 10 minute walk to the village cafe and pub who both do first class catering. The beach is the same distance and the walk to Aldeburgh or Sizewell is a joy to behold.
David, The Bay Tree Studio – September 2020

Spending a week at Crag’s nest was a delight. The location is a few dozen metres from the sea with only a narrow dead-end (and so quiet) road in between. The flat is newly refurbished and is relaxing and comfortable. Fine local restaurants, pubs and the famous fish and chip shop are only a minute or so walk away. Convenient private parking at the rear. Highly recommended.
Frank, Crag’s Nest – September 2020

The house is near the Dolphin Pub and just past some glorious alms houses. The garden and house are great for a family. 2 big nicely appointed double bedrooms and a third with bunks. The bathrooms are airy and very clean. There are so many kitchen utensils and equipment. Very good. In Leiston there is a fabulous fish and a chinese restaurant which during lockdown orders can be placed and collected at a designated times. No queuing which you get in Aldeburgh. The sea is about a 10 minute walk away and although stony is great for walking along and swimming. Walks from the house are abundant. All in all a great stay in a great place.
Linda M, 18 Pilgrim’s Way – September 2020

Home from home. Well situated for exploring the Suffolk coast and attractions. Lazy Days was furnished to a very high standard Everything you could possibly want was to hand. Fabulous weather which always helps. Hope to return next Spring.
Alan Winch, Lazy Days – September 2020

Excellent location, lovely sea view, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped. We had a very enjoyable week in this house. It is perfectly located within the town, a few minutes walk from the main shops, yet on the sea front with a great view from the 1st floor living room and main 2nd floor bedroom. Despite being so central it is very quiet. The rooms are all very spacious and the kitchen well-equipped (even an oyster knife!). There is no reserved parking for the property, but there is free on-street parking outside the property and in the narrow side street – although this is in high demand we had no problems finding a space, even during a very warm weekend.
Trusted customer from Trip Advisor, 14 Market Cross Place- September 2020

Beautifully clean cottage, with everything you could want – a real home from home. Lovely weather meant we could sit outside in the daytime, relax and enjoy the peacefulness and nature. The cottage was so cosy in the cooler evenings. Would definitely return.
CB, Cheshire, Appletree Cottage- September 2020

This venue is a gem – everything spot on – fantastic! From beginning to end the visit was excellent – we even had great weather everyday – the house was great, so was its location, the sea was within 59 metres, and the local restaurants and fish retailers were great! We have absolutely no complaints – for any new visitor they should be warned that parking is an issue – if when you arrive and find a space keep it – use the bus or walk as you may not find any space when you return. Great visit – well done to you all – and many thanks!
Barry Noble, The Old Customs House – September 2020

We had a fabulous 4 night stay. The house is beautiful and in a stunning location. Aldeburgh is a pretty seaside town with lots of amenities, there are great walks from the house in all directions. We really couldn’t fault it. Thank you for a wonderful stay, just what we all needed in fact we really didn’t want to leave.
Catherine, Lillingstone Lovell, Gunfleet – September 2020

Great place to stay, location is perfect to discover other parts of Suffolk from. Thank you, it’s a great place to stay and the location is perfect to drive to other places .
Ruth Van Loen, Three Tuns Apartments – Maple – September 2020

Great location and right in the heart of all the amenities. The Lodge is right on the beach although a sea view is only possible upstairs. There was plenty of room for a family of four and the place was comfortable with all the usual facilities. The accommodation was clean and well presented. Care had been taken to ensure that Covid concerns were minimal. There was plenty of parking space out front and use of the Country Club facilities would be a real bonus when things are back to normal. Eating out is limited in Thorpeness itself although the Dolphin Inn was excellent, other local eateries require a car drive. All in all a very pleasant break in a unique venue.
Steve Curtis, 2 Ogilvie Lodge – September 2020

Immaculate flat – neighbours very friendly and very quiet. We had a really lovely time in Suffolk – parked the car on arrival and got back in to come home on day seven! Perfect area for cycling, walking and canoeing. I have to note, that the beds were possibly the most comfortable we have ever slept on!
Patrick Mills, Leiston Apartment – September 2020

Nikhil Cherian, Pugwash Cottage – September 2020

Ivy Cottage is cosy, nicely furnished, warm & comfortable; we had everything we needed. The courtyard at the back & the bench in the front garden gives some nice outdoor places to sit and read. The location is near to the shops, beach, pubs & restaurants. There is parking very nearby & we parked up the car and walked everywhere for the whole stay. Jim & Alison
Jim Cowan, Ivy Cottage – September 2020

A large, light, comfortable house in a fantastic location, plenty of space for everyone. Next to the sea and so close to all the shops and restaurants.
Gunfleet, Claire Fuller – September 2020

From the minute we arrived, we felt safe (as it was so clean) re: COVID management and also completely at home. An absolutely lovely, airy property, in a super location. We have had a great few days, but it seems longer as it was so relaxing. Please pass on our thanks to the owners and person/people responsible for preparing it for us. We will definitely be in touch in the future to book with you.
Susan Todd , Beachcomber – September 2020

We enjoyed a wonderful holiday here, the sea view and accommodation were a delight. Excellent for walking just off the coastal path.
Christine, The Dower Lodge – September 2020

‘Quirky house with a great history’ The accommodation is excellent, very cosy and had everything we needed. Ideally situated for the beach and town centre with great walks.
Howie, Manchester, The Old Custom House – September 2020

‘Perfect for a peaceful and relaxing break’. Thorpeness is quaint and charming. This wooden cottage is tucked away but within walking distance of the golf club, pub, cafe and shingle beach. If you are looking for somewhere to chill out this is perfect as, although there is access to park a car, it is not really on a road. The cottage is compact, but comfortable and had everything we needed, with plenty of outside space with seating on a covered veranda. Lots of good walks nearby, and Aldeburgh is around a mile away (level walk) for shops etc.
K C, Bromsgrove, 7 Uplands – September 2020
