This stunning property has been refurbished during the lockdown period and now has a stunning open plan ground floor living and dining area. There are also fantastic views from the master bedroom over the marshes and the river.

A super property in a quiet area, near to all the usual facilities. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, with stylish modern fittings. The little outside room was a lovely extra. Checking in was easy, the property manager rang to allow us earlier access as soon as the house became available.

This is the 2nd Aldeburgh cottage rental this year which we’ve thoroughly enjoyed. Elm cottage might not have parking but it’s location just 5 mins from the high street and beach was ideal for our family. Clearly freshly refurbished it offered well appointed open plan ground floor space with the bonus of the ‘garden room’ leading out to the small decked seating area which provided a safe play area for a toddler. We loved the light filled airy ‘attic room’ with its Juliet balcony looking across to the river.

Fantastic stay at Elm Cottage and experience with Aldeburgh Cottages. The house was exactly what we needed – lovely open plan downstairs living area, small but perfectly formed bedrooms on the middle floor, and a lovely attic master with en suite. The house was sparkling clean on arrival, had all the amenities you might need in terms of the kitchen and a large family bathroom (helpful with a 5 month old). In terms of customer service, Aldeburgh Cottages were brilliant. Really responsive to queries and emails, and went the extra mile to ensure our stay wasn’t disrupted by covid-19. They also organised a Christmas Tree for the property which was a lovely touch.
