Ivy Cottage, Aldeburgh

A brilliant location minutes from the beach shops and restaurants. The cottage was cosy and clean perfect for a weekend getaway. The host was responsive, flexible and friendly.

We had such a wonderful stay at Ivy Cottage! Perfect location and such a great town with some lovely shops and bakeries. We loved being so close to the beach, we celebrated our daughter’s 2nd birthday during the stay and took treats from two magpies bakery down to the sea front on her special day. We recommend a trip to Orford to visit Pump Street Bakery and also a trip to Southwold/Walberswick. Wonderful cottage, perfect size for all 4 of us – clean and comfortable. We hope to come back one day. Thank you!

Ivy Cottage is cosy, nicely furnished, warm & comfortable; we had everything we needed. The courtyard at the back & the bench in the front garden gives some nice outdoor places to sit and read. Quirky property in an excellent location – central but still quiet on the high street. It is small and a cottage so low ceilings but was perfect size for us as a couple. Nice little backyard for eating outside but also spoiled for choice with lots of local places to eat/drink nearby (suggest you book!) and a Coop across the road, also close enough to the beach for an early morning swim/ take your dinner and watch the sun go down. Free parking on a street close by – make sure you read the instructions for this! An easy day trip to Southwold but also definitely worth going to Orford. A great holiday, thank you very much.

Had a great weekend at Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages! We were two young families both with babies under 9 months old and the place was perfect for a weekend away. Great location for all the amenities Aldeburgh has to offer, great little pub just round the corner. Would happily stay again and recommend to anyone.

We enjoyed our short winter break at Ivy Cottage. It’s been a while since we stayed in Aldeburgh and we usually visit for a day trip. The cottage is in a great location and we enjoyed having some great walks, the beach, restaurants and the cinema on our doorstep. The cottage is small but comfortable. For our stay it was warm but there’s also a lovely patio garden which would be great for a spring or summer visit.
