Customer Reviews
Thanks for a lovely stay in Bloom cottage for our honeymoon! Such a cute little place so close to the sea with so much on the doorstep. Check in and out very smooth. The cottage was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our time here!
Sarah – Sep 2023
Lovely cottage in an excellent location on a really nice High Street. A number of super pubs, 2 excellent fish and chip shops, bakery and cinema plus lots of other shops all in walking distance. We enjoyed buying from the fresh fish stalls on the beech and the local butchers using the very good cottage kitchen/dinner to prepare and enjoy our breakfasts/evening meals. A lovely place to stay and make the most of a smashing town and area.
Mark – Aug 2023
The cottage was on the quiet end of the High Street, so everything was close to hand. Parking opposite was a max of 2 hours but we found a street back from the cottage where we could park without problem. We had everything we needed in the cottage. It was a lovely week.
Geraldine – July 2023
The location of the cottage was great. It was an easy walk to the center of town and the beach, but was quiet. I appreciated having a washer/dryer. I received help promptly when I asked for things.

Gorgeous cottage in a fabulous place. Perfect break for two. Will definitely be returning.
Jeanette – April 2023
A lovely cottage within close walking distance of the beach, shops, cafés, and restaurants. The perfect location for an Aldeburgh holiday!
Jennifer – February 2023
Stayed at Bloom cottage for 7 nights. What a lovely cottage! The location was perfect as 2 minutes from the beach and on the high street so close to all shops, cafes and pubs. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The front door is a stable door so was lovely to have it half open on an evening. There is a lovely little front garden with seating. We cycled to Thorpeness from the cottage which is a lovely little place with a good cafe serving a range of food. We had a cooked breakfast which was lovely. The boating lake in Thorpeness has a good little cafe where they do a fab bacon sarnie! Aldeburgh is a gorgeous town which hasn’t changed over the years. Flatford Mill is also well worth a visit as well as Southwold with the pier and beach huts.

A gorgeous cottage right at the peaceful end of the high street. 30 second walk to the sea, a great pub, and the best fish n chips in Suffolk. The cottage is beautifully decorated, comfortable and cosy. Highly recommended.

Ben – December 2021
Beautiful cottage in the heart of Aldeburgh. Very cute and actually really spacious for two. We had a wonderful week. Being on the high street the cottage is close to everything – the beach, shops, our favourite pub and the local cafes and restaurants. The bed was really comfy. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. Love the view from the front door.
Louise – October 2021
Lovely cottage in a perfect location for the beach and all local amenities. 300yds from public car park if you can’t park in the street. Stylish decor, comfortable, very clean and good quality bed linen and towels. Very relaxing and quiet at night. Plenty of very nice restaurants – suggest you book well ahead of your visit. Buy fresh fish from the shacks on the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and are already discussing our next stay at Bloom Cottage.

Loved our stay here. The place was bigger than I was expecting and is very roomy but still cosy for two people. Great location and very peaceful. Loved the decor
Jasmine Sparrow – December 2020
Cute little cottage in a great location. Really loved staying in this little cottage. It was full of character, and had everything we needed for our short stay with plenty of space for the two of us. It was great to be so close to the centre of town so we could walk everywhere we needed to go, and the front garden gave us a bit of privacy from the high street. The sofa and bed were both really comfy so we could relax and get a good night’s sleep, and the upstairs snug makes a great dressing room as well as a nice place to relax – just watch your head on the low doorway leading into the bedroom! The kitchen was well-stocked but it is pretty small with limited counter space so it wouldn’t be ideal if you were a keen cook who likes to take up lots of room, but there is a generous sized dining table right next door which you can use for food prep. Wifi was fast and having a smart TV meant we could watch a bit of Netflix after coming back from dinner. Would definitely stay there again, and would definitely recommend to any couples visiting Aldeburgh.

Bloom cottage is in a really great location, just a minute’s walk away from the beach and right near all the shops (and the delicious fish and chip spot!). It’s a beautiful old cottage which has been done up really nicely inside and has everything you need. Check in was easy with a lock box and communication was great. Would highly recommend staying here, we’ll definitely come back!
