Description
6 Uplands is a beautiful mid terraced timber bungalow situated in the sought-after village of Thorpeness. Only a short walk to the beach, boating lake, cafes, and Dolphin Inn.
All the accommodation is on the ground floor making access easy for young children or the elderly.
This charming cottage has an inviting sitting room with an comfortable seating area. A patio door opens out onto the rear garden. The kitchen is complete with a range of appliances that you would expect from a self catering accommodation. This dog friendly house hosts two bedrooms; a double bedroom and a single room, as well as a shower room.
The village of Thorpeness, is set around a boating lake known as ‘The Meare’. Thorpeness also boasts its own country club, tennis courts, famous golf course, cafés and pub/restaurant. There are many more amenities including galleries, a cinema, fine dining restaurants and pubs in nearby Aldeburgh.
There are wonderful walks from the door but it’s a great base too for exploring the Suffolk Heritage coast and visiting near-by attractions including Snape Maltings, the Sutton Hoo ship burial, Minsmere bird reserve, Framlingham castle, Orford Ness and castle.

Lovely few days spent here. Easy walk to the local pub and the beach. Very clean and tidy inside, and well kept, spacious garden front and back.

We had a fantastic few days at Emma’s cottage: we needed a single storey space as our elderly mother has mobility issues and this was the closest place that met requirements. There are a few steps up to the backdoor but she managed well. The space was spotlessly clean, well designed and organised and had pretty much everything we needed throughout our stay. As there were no previous reviews, and everything looked so clean and new, this is probably a new listing. Proximity to the beach, mere, cafe etc was excellent (just a few minutes walk) and easily reached by foot/mobility scooter. Emma’s communications were prompt and helpful. We would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again.
