1 Suffolk Cottage, Knodishall, near Aldringham

We all had a fantastic break here, great location being close to such wonderful areas. Made easier having the secure garden for our dogs. Nicely laid out accommodation.

Perfect holiday cottage. 2 good size double rooms, both en-suite. Living room is comfortable, 2 leather sofas. Smallish kitchen, but it’s in the entrance area, so enough space to feel relaxed. Garden was nice (although it was December, so didn’t sit out). Seating on the paved area also a grass area which would be good in the summer. Garden is fully enclosed, so ideal for dog or small children. Cottage is quiet and secluded, off the main road. Knodishall is quiet, pub is across the road and shop is just round the corner. Ideal location for amenities in Leiston and 15 minute drive to Aldeburgh. Knodishall Common is ideal for dog walks, 5 minutes from the door. Would definitely recommend and we have booked again for the summer!

A comfortable, clean cottage with good outdoor space in a great central location for exploring the area. Good quality accommodation with a spacious feel. Knodishall Heath provides a good exercise area for the dog and is reached walking out from the cottage. A couple of minor issues were very quickly resolved and did not impact on our stay.

Lovely property with brilliant space. Brilliant little sunny sheltered garden fully enclosed so perfect for my little dogs to run around. Good location just 10mins from Aldeburgh.

We had a lovely few days at the cottage which is well located for everywhere we wanted to visit. It was spotlessly clean with light airy spaces, comfortable beds, loads of storage and a nice little private patio to enjoy the sunshine. We would definitely recommend this place.

Cottage was really laid out well, clean and most things you needed. comfortable, nice area, quiet. only things that let it down was garden not as enclosed as it said as back hedges are missing and chairs in garden need replaces as 3 of them unable to sit on them. would recommend to others and use again ourselves.

We loved our stay at this sweet little cottage. The space was great for two adults and two children, the kids loved having their own bathroom and own TV. The house was spotless on arrival and had everything we needed amenities wise. The location is great, a 10 minute drive to Aldeburgh and 25 minutes to the beautiful Dunwich Heath and Beach National Park. It’s also very close to the larger shops like Waitrose and Tesco in Saxmundham. The Butchers arms over the road was lovely for dinner and desert with the kids and we discovered a lovely playground & nature walk about 7 minutes from the cottage. We had a really lovely stay in this very lovely, cozy and homely cottage. I would recommend 1 Suffolk Cottage for anyone looking for a quiet peaceful stay.

A delightful single storey cottage in a quiet setting. Very clean, warm, and comfortable. Ideal base from which to explore Aldeburgh and the east Suffolk coast, then return to your own sanctuary afterwards. Very nice!

The house is in a really good location, very near Aldeburgh and surrounded by some other lovely towns and villages. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay including a BBQ to use in the well maintained garden.
