The single-storey Granary is spacious and converted to a high standard. It has expansive barn windows flooding the cottage with light and overlooking the tennis court with south facing front decking, garden furniture and BBQ. The open plan sitting room, kitchen and dining area also has a wood-burning stove to make winter stays extra cosy.
East Green Farm Cottages are a fabulous group of five converted barns tucked away in the Suffolk countryside.
Close to the well-known seaside towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh and just a few miles from the beautiful heritage coast with beaches and outstanding walks. These eco-friendly cottages are set in thirteen acres of paddocks and meadows with a tennis court available all year round (please bring your own rackets and balls) and outdoor heated swimming pool (available May – mid September from 9.00am – 5.30pm) The properties offer peace and tranquillity and a safe play area for children to roam free while adults can relax and unwind.

The Granary is well represented on the website – clean and comfortable. One good sized double and twin room with a smaller twin room. Living and dining space good size for four adults as there was in our family. Kitchen well-equipped for cooking. Fridge under counter size and we were glad we had not done a food delivery order for the week. Tennis court opposite the house and swimming pool tucked away around the back of the main house. Really nice to have both on site. Both very well maintained and pool very clean. This particular property had small seating area outside which was fine for us – other properties on site had larger more enclosed spaces that seemed good for those with children. We found this a very relaxing place to stay. We think really the only way it could have been better for us to take full advantage would have been for the pool to have been open more in to the evening. We would re-book to stay here. Lots of very interesting places to visit – we went to Sutton Hoo and Woodbridge (to see the replica long ship, but the quayside was lovely as was Christine’s cafe and Cake shop),Minsmere, Framlingham Castle, and Orford Castle and Ness and Walberswick for the beach (and pub).

Great accommodation for families. The Granary was well kitted out with useful local info and it was good to have the playground and lovely areas around the farm to walk in and explore.

We ended up book very late in the day, we were welcomed to a warm, clean cottage with lovely crisp sheets. It has good cooking equipment etc and enough space to spread out a bit. It was a good base for exploring Suffolk, I would book again later in the year when the pool is open

Lovely cottage in a peaceful location yet easy to drive to the beach. Swimming pool and tennis courts were a huge bonus. Cottage was very clean and presentable and it was lovely to be able to wander around the garden/field – kiddies enjoyed playing hide and seek.

I had a lovely stay at the granary for a long weekend with my family. The property is beautiful, well maintained in a very picturesque setting. My grandson took full advantage of the play area and particularly enjoyed the trampoline! Even though the weather was grey and cloudy we even took a very quick dip in the outdoor pool. I would definitely return and recommend it highly 😀

Wonderful place to stay would highly recommend especially good for families with children. Swimming pool was lovely and warm (June), the play area offered great entertainment for our children and the tennis court was a bonus. Property clean and well equipped.
