This delightful single-storey “Hideaway Cottage for Couples” is situated in a peaceful countryside location near Aldeburgh and Snape. This pretty cottage was in a peaceful location accessed by a long dirt road. It was within easy reach of Aldeburgh, Saxmundham & Southwold. There is a car park close by that is on the Sailors Path, we had a lovely walk, about 4 miles into Snape Maltings, where there is a lovely pub and coffee shop. The cottage had all necessary amenities and was spotlessly clean.
There is a Waitrose & Tesco in Saxmundham, but for essentials there is a Co-op 5 minutes away towards Aldeburgh.

Remote hideaway with every comfort. Fabulous location in woods with easy access to the Sailors Path. Loved heated bathroom floor. Plentiful hot water. Very comfortable living room with beautiful day bed. We loved the selection of books and could have stayed for weeks reading them all. We loved the simple furnishings and kitchen – no flashing digital displays – and we loved the consistency of simplicity throughout the cottage.

The cottage was really lovely and we had a really nice stay. As mentioned in other reviews it is quite hard to find in the dark, even with directions. The cottage was immaculate and the bedroom and kitchen are really lovely, under floor heating in the bathroom was particularly nice! We couldn’t fault the cottage and we had a lovely break. I think it would be a lovely place to stay in the summer with the patio and BBQ.

A delightful rural getaway at ‘The Dairy Cottage.’ The cottage is in the perfect location for the sailors path, which is right on the doorstep of the cottage. Other local walks are close by too, by car. Aldeburgh town is a 10 minute drive which we found really handy to pick up essentials. The cottage itself is basic but quaint and tucked away in the countryside, however it is a great base to discover the surrounding areas of Aldeburgh, Orford, Snape and Southwold. The walk to Snape Maltings is beautiful and is a 40 minute walk from the cottage. This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a rural getaway and want to enjoy the outdoors!

Very happy here – loads of space, clean, in great location. Very basic, no frills. Loved the wood burner in the evenings. Good for my wife who is disabled with bad vision and mobility – all very accessible. The managing agents were very helpful when we requested a bigger TV and a side lamp – and sorted it out within 24 hours.
