This was a last minute swap. 14 Market Cross Place was truly magnificent. Brilliant views, great bedrooms, character, fantastic kitchen, quirky – just amazing throughout, we loved it. It comfortably sleeps 8 people and for the folk reading this who are always cold, the central heating system looks like it could keep a small school warm. 10/10 – thank you x

We have been going to Aldeburgh for many years, and spending Xmas and a Boxing Day birthday in this lovely home with family in the seafront was absolutely wonderful. Great walks, views and a raging sea on a few mornings has left us all relaxed and ready for the New Year.

Fabulous house in the best location just opposite the fish huts and beach. Shared with friends for a weekend away. Great kitchen and dining space – plus a formal sitting room with glorious views for cocktails. Aldeburgh always pleases – walk to Thorpeness Dolphin for lunch, mooch at the local shops and a lovely dinner at the Brudenell. Will be back.

What a great house this is to rent. Beautiful decor and lovely art work. Everything we needed for a family of four and our dog. Beautiful sea view with a lovely balcony to sit on. Court yard garden a great bonus especially for the dog. Close to the dog friendly part of the beach. We’ve been going to Aldeburgh every summer for the last 20 years and this has been the nicest house we’ve found so far.

We spent my birthday with a few friends here and had a fabulous time. The house is just perfect for a group of friends. It’s very well equipped. We had a takeaway from next door one night , cooked a couple nights and had a great meal at The Lighthouse. Perfect location for walks and shopping eating and drinking. I even got to enjoy my G&T sat on the beach at dusk. Beds were very comfy too. Fab few days

Our property in Aldeburgh was absolutely perfect for our 4 nights stay, I would say one of the best locations in the area. It was clean and the large kitchen made it a sociable area when preparing meals. With so many beautiful walks in the area and with us being lucky with the weather, we were out during the day, but when we returned enjoyed the stunning views from the lounge on the second floor overlooking the sea …. just beautiful. The bedrooms are all of a good size and beds very comfortable. Plenty of toilets in the property and a bathroom with bath on the third floor, but only one shower which is situated next to the twin bedroom on the second floor. Lovely little garden area with small table & chairs.

What a wonderful place to stay! So comfortable, beautifully decorated and welcoming. Our family of 6 stayed over Christmas and with the 2 living rooms we could watch tv in one or relax quietly in the other watching the crashing waves on the beach across the road. They had decorated the house beautifully with a stunning Christmas tree and other decorations. Thank you so much for such a very special stay. So recommend this property. Great location, stylish house and has everything you need for a home away from home getaway. Parking right outside was very easy. 5min walk to the high street. Comfortable beds and sofas. The 1st floor sitting room is lovely to watch the sunrise in over the sea and beach! Loved the house and are looking to potentially rebook for the 2021 summer!!

We found 14 Market Cross Place to be a delightful mix of relaxed beachy comfort and luxury. The pictures, though stunning, dont quite do the gorgeous views justice. Oh, that sunrise from bed this morning! The house had ample space for feeding and entertaining our large family and the location could not be better for town and beach access. Would not hesitate to recommend and re-book.

Excellent location, lovely sea view, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped. We had a very enjoyable week in this house. It is perfectly located within the town, a few minutes walk from the main shops, yet on the sea front with a great view from the 1st floor living room and main 2nd floor bedroom. Despite being so central it is very quiet. The rooms are all very spacious and the kitchen well-equipped (even an oyster knife!). There is no reserved parking for the property, but there is free on-street parking outside the property and in the narrow side street – although this is in high demand we had no problems finding a space, even during a very warm weekend.

We have been coming to Aldeburgh for over 12 years but this was our first stay at 14 Market Place. It’s excellent value for money and the view from the first floor lounge is one of the best in Aldeburgh, rain or shine. I can only recommend this property. It’s a great base with everything our family of 6 needed for the week.

14 Market Cross Place was perfectly situated for walks along the beach and also for popping into the centre of Aldeburgh for fish and chips and a coffee and a cake. The house itself was beautifully maintained and perfect for a family of 7 adults and 1 toddler. I’d highly recommend this to anyone wanting a weekend by the sea!
