Customer Reviews

Lovely house in a fantastic location for the town and the beach. Plenty of space for 8 guests and we especially loved the terrace and the garden which was so nice on a sunny afternoon, and felt nice and safe for the dogs
Sue – June 2022

Our family of 9 stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate a 60th Birthday Fantastic space to all be together Kitchen fully equipped for us all and location great for pubs, restaurants, chippy and takeaways. 2 mins from seafront Very clean, good supply of hot water and comfortable beds Would love to stay again

Ed – February 2022

Perfectly placed for a large family garden, and an enclosed garden was great for our doggy.
James – January 2022

Rachel – November 2021

A great stay, superb location, spacious and bright house ..well equipped and a well looked after place to be. Thank you Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages, we had a super long weekend in your lovely house, we adored the long table and benches ..it was a really bright and sociable place to gather . An incredible location and a real treat to be able to walk to restaurants and of course breakfast on hand at the bakery. We all loved it. Kate

Luke – November 2021

Simon – November 2021

Great location and a wonderful place to spend a relaxing week with bracing sea swims!
Torben – August 2021

We booked this relatively last minute and it was a gem of a find. The house is light, spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated. The location, on the high street and less than a minute from the beach is perfect and meant we could really enjoy all Aldeburgh has to offer. Would highly recommend!
Veronica – June 2021

We had a really enjoyable stay at Mansard House. The kitchen and dining room are extremely spacious and well kitted out. The deck is a wonderful little sun trap where we enjoyed many a glass of wine in the evening and it’s the perfect location for fetching your fresh loaf and pastries in the morning from the Two Magpies Bakery.
Sara – June 2021

Had a lovely stay in dreamy Aldeburgh, the house is larger than it looks in photos and fully equipped. We LOVED the log burner in the living room, made our December stay really cosy. The team were really helpful and easy to contact. Aldeburgh is a great little place to stay we particularly enjoyed all the independent shops and how friendly everyone is. We could recommend the Escargot sur Mer pop up restaurant and also walking up to Thorpeness along the beach for a pub lunch in the very cosy Dolphin Inn
Amy Dobson – December 2020

Beautiful house, incredible location on the High Street, wonderful kitchen and dining area in particular.
Gillian Mcdonald – December 2020

Mansard House was so beautiful! It felt really clean and well-appointed. We had such a great time there!
Caitlin FitzGerald – October 2020

The house is beautifully laid out with so many lovely features. We loved the large hallway, plenty of space for our big family. The kitchen is very well equipped and the drinks fridge was well received. The beautiful sunny kitchen lends itself to a fabulous shared space with the large table, stunning dresser and wood burner. The 2 lounges are lovely and cosy and the opening into the decking is another great feature. Plenty of bathrooms for a big family, and the attic bedrooms are cute. Good use of the eaves, creating wardrobe spaces for all the bedrooms. The lighting throughout is very effective. The position of the house is spot on for all amenities. Extremely well situated for shops, cafes, pubs and the beach. Parking was freely available behind the accommodation. The garden was spacious and established , lovely for watching the garden birds and lots of bees and butterflies. Plenty of seating in the garden, along with a bbq lending itself to a well spent afternoon soaking up the September sun. We would love to return in the future
