Customer Reviews
Magenta is beautiful. It felt like home, so comfortable, especially the beds and sofas. It had everything anyone could want to make their stay perfect. It’s location is great for the High Street, and a few steps to the beach. Couldn’t be better. I highly recommend a stay there, and will be going back myself.

Absolutely fabulous accommodation and spotlessly clean, great location and everything possible in the cottage to have a great holiday, thank you very much.

The sea is with you all the time and changing all the time, it is what you are most conscious of. Everything in the cottage feels right and makes one feel totally at home. I am now ninety and I come from seven generations of Aldeburgh Wards and so Magenta is now the only place I want to go to and at the moment I am managing to visit in the Spring and the Autumn which is great. My grandfather and great-grandfather were both maritime captains based in Aldeburgh. My grandfather kept a pleasure craft on the river in his retirement where I spent many happy hours in my teenage years after the war, only coming to an end when the Kim was ripped from it’s moorings and carried off in the great gale of 1953. Lashings of delicious local food to be had either in pubs, restaurants or purchased over counters and now a gin distillery, what more could one want! Lovely walks, now on a scooter for me, and an over-riding calming atmosphere that is hard to explain but definitely there.

The facilities were of a high standard and a great position in relation to the town and beach..
Lynn – January 2023
This is a lovely, well-appointed, comfortable, holiday cottage right on the beach at Aldeburgh, a short walking distance from the shops and restaurants of the high st. It’s very much as the pictures show, nicely decorated and with plenty of space, looking right out over the beach, with no houses in between. We loved it and would definitely return.
