On the other side of the wood burner is a two-seater sofa positioned to look out at the Meare, two small armchairs and wooden chair with a central coffee table – a perfect place for doing jigsaw puzzles or just looking out at the view. At the other side of the open plan room is the fully equipped kitchen, which has stainless steel worktops, a large Samsung stainless steel fridge freezer, and a feature red Bertazzoni Italian range with a six-ring gas hob and one large oven, Bosch dishwasher, stainless steel microwave and a large old oak table seating eight.

Other things to note
The beach is a 5 minute walk away – as are the pub (with good food) and two cafes. There is brilliant cycling – bring your bikes or hire them locally.
The Meare and the view are always spectacular. Rowing conditions can be unpredictable in the winter months, because of under-water weed and water levels. There is a Regatta that takes place mid August. The children love it and have entered the races in the past. Activities are not at our end of the Meare but you can hear them from the garden. There is also a fantastic firework display at the end of the regatta that you can watch bobbing from our boat in the middle of the Meare. The popular Aldeburgh Carnival is in early to mid August every year.
The house and garden are open to the Meare, so children need to watched around the water. We do not have insurance for you to use the boat – rowing is at your own risk.
