Situated within walking distance of the peaceful Suffolk village of Fressingfield, Appletree Cottage is professionally converted from the original stable to a beautifully furnished holiday home. This bungalow style cottage has a light and airy open plan living/kitchen/dining area with traditional oak-beamed ceilings and a king size bedroom with a door leading out to the garden. A perfect base for those looking for a relaxing and away-from-it-all break in the traditional English countryside.

We loved our stay at Appletree Cottage, it was a perfect retreat. The accommodation is in a lovely quiet rural location and is full of character and well styled and has everything you need for a comfortable and peaceful stay. We would certainly recommend it to friends and family and hope to return again.

We booked a last minute get away to Applegate over New Year. Looking for a chance to just sit back, rest and relax. Applegate is rural and with some excellent local walks. The barn is beautifully finished and was very comfortable. Everything we needed we had to hand and we received a warm welcome.

What an amazing space! So rural, surrounded by fields, bird song and bleating lambs…yet only an easy 20 minute cross fields walk to the local village with two pubs. We had a brilliant week at Appletree cottage. We would have no hesitation in recommending a stay there if you need peace and quiet. The cottage is stocked with everything you need and is very well finished. We would recommend a meal at The Swan in the village and a river boat trip on the Broads from Wroxham.

Appletree Cottage is a delightful place surrounded by quintessentially English fields – there are pheasants, foxes and hedgerows. I stayed there for six weeks and had a lovely time – the place is very convenient, sparkling clean and the hosts are very helpful and responsive.
