Thimble Cottage is a delightful period cottage, ideal for couples and small families, tucked away down a private lane in the heart of the village of Knodishall, just a few minutes’ drive from the famous Suffolk coastal destinations of Aldeburgh, Thorpeness and Snape. The cottage has original brick floors, a wood-burner and beamed ceiling – all set in a lovely garden with an enclosed patio for summer drinks and barbeques.

A lovely local town cottage! We were here for Latitude Festival and the place was great; I didn’t know we had such a nice place to lay our heads. We enjoyed our stay so much we had hoped we could extend our stay, but there was no availability which is no surprise! Scotland to Suffolk – girls on tour!

Very responsive and helpful host. A small but beautiful cottage, conveniently located for Snape and the seaside, and a short walk to the fabulous pub in Aldringham. Knodishall has a well stocked village shop and a farm shop, and several great areas for dog-walking.

Thimble Cottage is really well situated for visiting the Suffolk Coast and surrounding areas. Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Minsmere, Dunwich and Southwold all being in easy reach It is beautifully quiet but has a pub and handy local shop within a stones throw! The cottage is well furnished and extremely comfortable, the garden is small but secure – perfect for our dog. Good kitchen and bathroom, everything you need. Great to have a wood burner to settle down in front of after a day out walking. The beautiful fireplace is a real feature of the cottage. Thimble Cottage is perfect for a couple looking for a character property for a short break/week on the Suffolk Coast
