A lovely house with lots of bedrooms. Perfect to stay at for anything happening at the golf club or the country club. Five minute walk to the boating lake too

The house was exactly as described on the listing. It worked perfectly for 10 of us to be under one roof – six adults and four children. Downstairs was fabulously laid out and the bedrooms were great. It was a luxury to have the three bathrooms and brilliant for this many people. There were lots of utensils, etc in the kitchen drawers and cupboards, which were appreciated! Communication was good, even with a slight hot water problem. Thorpeness is a lovely place and this house is in a great location – the beach a short walk, horse and carriage rides, boat hire on the lake and we ate breakfast in The Kitchen. Also, lovely activities to do with a short drive. We would stay again.

Great place to stay. Clean, comfortable and lots of space even for 10 of us. Well equipped and lots of utensils etc in the kitchen as well. Good communication with Emma beforehand and getting into the property was easy. No problems with parking and close to The Dolphin pub which served excellent food.

A great weekend. The accommodation was very good. Love the house and location. Seven adults and one child enjoyed a longer weekend walking and drinking. Good clean, well heated house. Shower was very good and hot. Kitchen well stocked with pans etc. Enjoyed dinner in the pub just down the road. A perfect house… Love it….

Always wanted to stay in Thorpeness. The house was perfect for us, our 2 children and their families.

We rented for a 60th weekend away. Ideal size for 2 parents, 4 adult couples, 2 young children and a small dog. A few couples had twin rooms but the rumour going around is some of them got a better nights sleep! We got a call much earlier than the check in time to tell use the house was ready which was great. Clean and plenty of room in the lounge and kitchen to sit. All the cooking utensils needed to cook for a large group, the two fridges really helped. There was enough room in the larger bedrooms for a travel cot. Bit of a queue for the upstairs shower in the morning but was very spacious once in. Beach is 100% stones, 0% sand. But if you want sand it’s a 20 min drive to Southwold. The dolphin pub is a 2 min walk, great food and beer garden. Take a short drive to Friday street farm shop for good local meat and a whole room dedicated to cheese. Can also organise a Tesco delivery to the house rather than travelling with it. In short we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host was friendly and helpful. It feels homely and is warm, comfortable and spacious. It is also well equipped (including with CDs, DVDs, games and books) and there is plenty of parking outside.

The house is lovely, full of old fashioned charm. It was extremely clean and well equipped. The village is picturesque with its own boating lake, the house in the clouds is a must to see. The local pub/restaurant, The Dolphin Inn is good, but suggest you book for a table well in advance, it is very popular.
