The village lies conveniently between Aldeburgh and the market town of Saxmundham with easy access to the neighbouring village of Snape Maltings known for its world class Concert Hall and also home to the famous Aldeburgh Festival. The seaside town of Aldeburgh offers a more extensive range of amenities. Nature reserves in the area include RSPB Minsmere, Havergate Island and Shingle Street

This lovely cottage was a real surprise. It had a wonderfully friendly and personal feel with lots of the owner’s style very evident. It’s perfect for 2 people and in a great location for visiting all the areas we wanted to along that piece of coastline. We enjoyed coming home to it every day. We would have liked more information on the area and some helpful hints about local services and favourite farms shops and pubs. It’s always nice to hear recommendations from people who live in the county.
