Lower Ufford is a sought-after village situated in the Deben Valley, a designated Special Landscape Area offering easy access to the Suffolk Heritage Coast. Lower Ufford has two good local pubs, including The Crown renowned for its excellent food offering. The village of Melton and the small town of Wickham Market are also nearby. A picturesque and thriving market town of Woodbridge, less than ten minutes away, is dotted with independent boutiques and shops, a thriving independent cinema and an excellent variety of restaurants and cafes. Suffolk’s coastal highlights of Aldeburgh, Orford and Thorpeness are just a short drive from Upper Barn.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Upper Barn. The house was beautiful, spacious and very clean and the beds were comfortable. The host was very responsive to us when we asked how to adjust the heating and when we requested extra bin liners! The property is set in the lovely countryside and there are no neighbours so it’s very peaceful. You can walk to local pubs via the fields/woodland paths (which would be slightly harder in the dark) using the helpful walking directions provided by the host. The host put together a lovely hamper for us. We would definitely return.

The barn was amazing set in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The barn had a great layout with everything that you needed. The furnishings were finished to a very high standard and plenty of room for everyone.

The Barn is amazing, great layout and very well laid out and thought out. The kitchen had everything needed and was well organised. Plenty of room in the Barn for 8 people. Electric car point was a massive plus point. Host was very responsive with odd questions that we had. Definitely recommend and would love to go back.
