Description
In a prime position in the popular and traditional holiday village of Thorpeness stands the Turret House, an iconic property which has been beautifully renovated. Finished to a high standard throughout and incorporating stylish modern touches with a traditional design and superb features, the property has plenty of space to offer a fantastic holiday experience on the picturesque and popular Suffolk Coast. With large bedrooms and spacious living areas, Turret House is a just a three-minute walk to the beach. The Turret House has its own private garden to the rear which is fantastic for children and adults alike. With access to the Meare Boating Lake at Thorpeness and just around the corner from the popular Dolphin Pub, it is an elegant property ideal for a family break.
Two storey accommodation
The house is entered through the porch which leads into the main hallway where doors open onto the living room and television/snug room and the open plan kitchen/dining room. The staircase leads up into the bedrooms. There is also a utility room and WC.
Ground Floor
Living Room: The spacious main living area has large soft seating for all guests and is the perfect room to relax in front of the television or stay warm and cosy in front of the wood burner.
Kitchen/Dining Room: The open plan kitchen/dining room is very spacious. The dining area seats 10-12 people and is a grand space for an special dining experience. The kitchen is well-equipped with a Rangemaster Cooker, a large American fridge-freezer, a wine-cooler, dishwasher and all the essential appliances, including an espresso machine.

First Floor
Master Bedroom: The master bedroom is a luxurious room in which to relax; it has a flat screen television and DVD and a super King-sized bed. The en-suite bathroom is state-of-the-art with a free-standing bath, separate shower and twin sinks. This room has panoramic views across the garden.
Bedroom 2: At the end of the hallway at the top of the stairs is a light and airy bedroom called the Garden Room with a King-size bed, a wardrobe and drawers for hanging and storage.
Bedroom 3: The Dove Room is a luxurious twin room (can be made as a double if required)
Bedroom 4: The Turret Room is a very spacious and airy bedroom which gets plenty of natural light and is a comfortable place in which to relax and unwind. It has a King-size bed and a large wardrobe for storage. The en-suite shower room also has a hand-basin and WC in addition to a double walk-in shower.
Family Bathroom: The shared bathroom has a full length bath, separate shower, WC and hand basin and touch-sensor mirror lights.
External features
Although there is no reserved parking space, the property is accessed using an un-adopted road which has unrestricted parking on either side. The garden has a lawn and patio – great for drinks or al fresco dining – or reading a book in the sunshine.

The property is equipped with gas central heating, wood burner, a total of three flat screen TV’s with Freeview, DAB radio and iPod docking station, free WiFi, tall fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The house was ideal for our family group of seven, with space to be together and to have quieter times on your own. Cupboards and storage in the kitchen and elsewhere were logical and straightforward, so we could always find what we needed, and parking with more than one car was never a problem. A really enjoyable holiday in a great setting, just a few minutes’ walk from the sea!

A perfect location- beautiful walk to Aldeburgh, time on the a boat and a fun time at the miniature golf. The large communal spaces were perfect for us. We did a jewellery making and a painting workshop at the house and the large dining table was perfect for this. The garden was a beautiful spot to sit in the sun. Would definitely return.

Truly delightful. Such a beautiful house. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and the oven worked really well. Big enough to cook for a large party if needed. The Turret House is located in a beautiful quiet village and is 2 minutes walk from the beach and 1 minute from the pub. The house has all the required facilities and was enjoyed by all the family with age ranging from 6 months to 65 years.
