Robin’s Egg, Aldeburgh

2nd visit, just as perfect! It’s been 2 years since we last visited and the property is just as we left it. Very well maintained, no signs of wear and tear. Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages were extremely helpful when there was a malfunction on the TV and brought a replacement to us straight away, very much appreciated. A wonderful stay yet again and we won’t leave it as long until visiting again, Thank you 🙂

Perfect for a getaway. Lovely and quiet if that takes your fancy or head down to Aldeburgh High Street for food and the shops which is five minutes away. Don’t forget the beach area for walks or take the car down and watch the sailing.

‘Spotless, comfortable bolthole perfect for a single traveller’ Robin’s Egg is down a private road within a short walk of Aldeburgh High Street and beach. As a single lady, I felt totally secure in this property and it was an ideal size too. The bed is super comfortable, the shower room is superb and the smart tv with YouTube kept me happily entertained every evening. It is a self-contained part of a large family home and I was welcomed on my arrival by the lady of the house, who told me to knock if I needed anything. It’s lovely to be made to feel welcome at any time, but especially so at the moment.

No strangers to Aldeburgh my wife and I booked a 4 night break at Robins Egg and found the location to be absolutely perfect. We’ve stayed in many self catering establishments and also in the Aldeburgh Hotels, but this was by far the best. Wonderful walks across the marshes to the sea only a ten minute stroll away and the same into the town in the other direction for shops and restaurants . We purchased essential groceries for our stay without the need of a car as we discovered a few shortcuts ! Even the larger Tesco and Co op stores on the Saxmundham Road were only a short stroll away once we found the shortcuts ! A peaceful and quiet private road. The apartment was extremely clean and well furnished and very comfortable. Very bright and airy. Comfy bed, adequate storage for a short stay and a large wet room . Added bonus of private parking right to the door so no problem with luggage. A brief issue with the password for the WiFi ( we couldn’t locate it) was soon sorted and a big thank you goes to the Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages team, who we booked through, for popping in to check everything was OK. We will certainly return to Robins Egg.

Robins Egg is very modern and stylish. Beautifully light and bright. Pure radio for music and Netflix for nights in. Cooker microwave and fridge. The bed is super comfy, and the wet room is gorgeous. Shower amazing. No outside space to speak of, the table and chairs tucked in between where cars park. However, on the upside, having your car right outside the door for getting cases in and out was a godsend. And of course there are so many beautiful open spaces to walk or eat in Aldeburgh anyway. Everything so easy. A lovely place to stay. Would recommend.

Perfect accommodation in perfect location in Aldeburgh. We stayed here as a couple with a small dog for 4 nights. The apartment is very clean and well kept, all of the fixtures and furniture are very good quality and overall this is a credit to the owners. Quiet location but well situated for a short walk to all the pubs, restaurants, shops and the beach in Aldeburgh. The Bonus is the parking as I can imagine in peak season it would be difficult to find a space if your accommodation didn’t have dedicated parking. We will be returning Aldeburgh and will not hesitate to book Robins Egg again, loved it!
