Comfortably furnished this detached studio style ground floor house is situated in the quiet and peaceful village of Iken. The property is light and airy and features a well equipped open plan kitchen, comfortable seating area with a wood burner along with a beautiful patio overlooking the garden. Guests will enjoy spacious, comfortable and generously sized accommodation in a peaceful seclusion, yet extremely well placed to visit the attraction in the Suffolk coastal destinations such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Snape Maltings, Southwold, Minsmere Bird Reserve, Rendlesham Forest & Iken Canoeing.

The Half House sits in the grounds of the main house, which has been recently converted into a private let offering a great alternative to costly stays in hotels or B&B’s whilst providing you with all the comforts of home.

The Half House is a lovely place to stay. It is well equipped and very comfortable. The house is located in a small hamlet, which is very quiet. It’s possible to walk to Snape Maltings and there is good cycling in the area. We would thoroughly recommend.

This little nook was the perfect get away. Secluded enough to give a sense of peaceful isolation but close enough to local attractions not to feel cut off. Orford and Aldeburgh are on the doorstep and the walk to Snape Maltings just lovely. Would strongly recommend as a base for exploring the area or as somewhere just to stay put and enjoy a book and the meadow!

Lovely property for our first trip to Suffolk with everything you’d need in a great quiet location close to Orford. Ideal for cycling the local lanes and walking and close enough to Aldeburgh and Southwold to sample the local area. Found some great restaurants and plenty of fresh fish to eat and take home.
