Tucked away in a quiet corner in Thorpeness, ‘Annie’s House’ is just a stone’s throw from all the attractions of this village, including the famous House in the Clouds, boating Meare, Dolphin pub, renowned golf and country club and best of all, the beach!
The house can accommodate upto 6 guests in 3 bedrooms and also features a cosy and inviting lounge, with plenty of comfortable seating, while the kitchen/diner is equipped for all your catering needs with a large dining table for family meals. There’s a bright and sunny conservatory with access to a large lawn and a patio – a great place to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring the Suffolk Coastline
There are wonderful walks from the door but it’s a great base too for exploring the Suffolk Heritage coast and visiting near-by attractions including Snape Maltings, the Sutton Hoo ship burial, Minsmere bird reserve, Framlingham castle, Orford Ness & castle and so on

Annie’s House was perfect for our post Christmas/New Year break. The house was very well situated with easy walking access to beach, pub, coffee shop. The house itself was lovely, 3 comfortable double bedrooms, 2 with en-suite and 1 with a bathroom next door, plus another shower room downstairs! The house was very well fitted out with plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment and everything was in good condition. The big plus was that everything worked, no niggles at all. We would certainly come again and recommend to others.

Beautifully furnished house. Kitchen fully kitted out with everything need to cook for 6 people. Absolutely no complaints we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great to have so many bathrooms and careful parking enabled us to get 3 cars into the allocated spaces. Dolphin Inn was recommended, and we had a lovely meal there served by super friendly staff. Lovely surprise to receive call to say property was available sooner than expected.

We had such a lovely time at Annie’s House for a week away with family. We have stayed in Aldeburgh a few times but not in Thorpeness so it was lovely to be able to visit all the local places we are used to. The very popular house in the Clouds was only a short walk away as well as a lovely Cafe and Pub. We would definitely recommend staying in Annie’s House, it was warm and cosy busy also very spacious with all you need for a perfect break.

What a fantastic property to stay in as a group. All rooms are a good size with very nice conservatory and garden when the sun shines. The village location is stunning with flat walks in the area easily accessible. Luckily it was also great weather, as at the village pub you could only sit outside if not dining. We would definitely stay at Annie’s House again if in Suffolk in the future.

Ideally located for a family get away. The accommodation size was great for our needs. The property was very clean and well equipped. It was great that each had their own bathroom. The location was great for the sea, walks, wandering around Thorpeness and visiting local sites

The house is very well equipped and only a short walk to the beach. Good wi-fi and TV. Two pubs, the Dolphin and the Kitchen, are within walking distance. There is plenty to see and do, especially Sutton Hoo and Snape Maltings. Driving around Suffolk is a pleasure.

I stayed at Annie’s House with two friends. We were lucky enough to have a bedroom and bathroom each, but there is plenty of space for six people. Everything was as described, very well stocked and lots of space. The café close by and the pub were both brilliant and even though we were out of season they were both busy, which is a good sign. I would definitely go back to Annie‘s house in the future. I suspect it will be busy in high season but we were lucky enough to go out of season and had fantastic weather and could make the most of the beach and the walks that were very close by . A lovely house well looked after with everything we could possibly need for a wonderful stay.
