Description
A stunning light and airy four bedroom holiday cottage furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The main accommodation is on one floor, with the spacious living and dining areas having direct access to a pretty decked area overlooking the garden – an ideal spot for relaxing in the sun.
The Lodge accommodation provides an additional twin bedroom, sitting room and shower room for any additional guests. Located just a five minute walk to the beach and a two minute walk to Thorpeness Golf course, 9 Uplands is a perfect seaside retreat.

Perfect restful retreat just a short walk from Thorpeness beach. The accommodation is really nicely set up and done to a high standard. It was perfect for our family of 6 to relax and eat together inside and out on the terrace as well as lie on the grass when the sun came out. The separate outside twin bedroom/cabin was perfect for our older teens to have their own space, but wouldn’t work so well for younger children.

Wonderful week at No 9. Beds very comfortable and we loved the open areas of the living space. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. Thorpeness is a great place to visit and we enjoyed our stay. We hope to come again.

Lovely house in a peaceful location. It was a great place for us to get the family together for a few days. Walking distance to the boating lake, golf course (incl a fun mini golf) and the beach. Also within walking distance down the beach to Aldeburgh. All in all a lovely house. Would recommend.

Everything you could need and want for a relaxing family stay. Beautifully decorated well thought out accommodation. Set in a really tranquil and pretty area with plenty to do for a short stay in the east coast. Host was warm and welcoming.

Great location in a wonderful property very near to the sea. Lovely to be on one floor with an annexe in the garden for my teenage daughter. Very well equipped with everything you should need for a weeks stay. The homemade cake was so yummy and a real treat. Thank you.

Our family really enjoyed our time in the house enhanced by the wonderful warm and sunny September weather over the 3 days. We loved how light the property was and the wonderful opening doors onto the decking. The accommodation worked well for our family and 2 year old grandson in the house and with us sleeping in the garden annexe.
It was a great location being so close to the Meare, walking into Aldeburgh and the beach but also peaceful getting away from the throngs of people around the village that weekend – and having our own parking spot.
