Can highly recommend staying here, its perfect for a small to mid-sized family seeking a coastal getaway. Location is excellent with good local activities. Check-in and check-out was very easy and the apartment was nicely furnished with great sea views.

If you want a peaceful stay in a well appointed 2 bed/2 bathroom property in a hidden gem of a location, overlooking the sea, then this property in the delightful setting of Thorpeness will certainly not disappoint. Also there are two local pubs, the Dolphin and the Parrot & Punchbowl, which both surpassed our expectations in menu choices and food/service quality.

Thorpeness will always be my favourite place – I’ve been coming here for over 30 years and staying at the Country Club is a real pleasure. 3 Ogilvie Lodge is beautiful, great location and good views, the owners must be very proud. Great DVD collection for those rainy days but didn’t get a chance to view any, too much going on in Thorpeness and Aldeburgh to watch TV . Thanks again for a great stay, My family can’t wait for our next visit!!

Thorpeness, peace and beauty of a bygone era. We were lucky to stay in Thorpeness during the quiet season! The beach is ON the doorstep. The flat was perfect combining the elegance of original features with modern convenience. We absolutely loved our stay there. The surrounding area, The Meare, architecture was just wonderful and of course we got to see The House in the Clouds – amazing.
