26 May 2018 Sizewell beach is cracking for beachcombed treasures including fossils. An opportunity to explore Sizewell beach, its plants and the treasures that have washed up on the tide. We will also be looking for 1-2 million year old pieces of coralline crag which are rich in fossils. there will also be a chance to see some more unusual beachcombed treasures. 13 June 2018 For the third time in race history, Suffolk will host the Grand Départ of the OVO Energy Women’s Tour. After a year’s absence from the event, the East Anglian county will welcome the world’s best riders for a largely flat 130-kilometre leg between Framlingham and Southwold. The previous stage victors in Suffolk are Marianne Vos and Lizzie Deignan, who won in Bury St Edmunds (2014) and Aldeburgh (2015) respectively. Wildlife Sculpture by Stephen Henderson at Aldeburgh Gallery

Stephen Henderson is an established British wildlife sculptor based in Essex. His solo show at the Aldeburgh Gallery will be opening on Thursday the 31st May 2018. Stephens work is inspired by the native shorebirds and fish species of his locality in Essex, together with wildlife observed on holidays and travels abroad. Stephen's work is sculpted from Cedar, Pine and uses salvaged metal and driftwood.
