Swn-y-don is an impressive and exceptionally well designed town house prominently located on the seafront, known as Crag Path, at the heart of the Aldeburgh. The house is light and bright with a contemporary finish and boasts fine views over Crag Path to the beach and fisherman’s huts and then on to the sea beyond.
Standing in a prime position with frontages both to Crag Path and to Oakley Square just a few paces off Aldeburgh’s High Street with its eclectic range of local shops, brand name boutiques, restaurants and galleries along with an independent cinema, this two bedroom house is the perfect seaside base for couples or small families.

This is an excellent house in a wonderful location. It’s very clean with high spec fittings. The first floor bedroom has the most amazing views to the sea. We were concerned about parking but we’re able to park in front of the property which was great. We would love to book this home again next year. Highly recommend it!

Perfectly positioned and well appointed. The location is amazing – the beach is just across the promenade and shops just around the corner. One of the few properties on the front with garden/patio area. Next door but two to Cross Keys pub which has outside tables. Although the property is close to Oakley Square car park this posed no problem and handy for unloading car ! Well appointed and comfortable.

We were looking for a comfortable well located flat/house as a base for exploring the area along the Suffolk coast. Aldeburgh is a perfect base for this, Minsmere, Snape, Walberswick, Thorpeness all within easy distance with Woodbridge and the Deben estuary pretty close too. The accommodation was really clean and tidy. Easy parking and 30 yards to the beach. Great variety of takeaway meals

Swn-y-Don is a lovely, very comfortable, modern, well equipped three storey house/cottage with its own large terrace and garden in the heart of Aldeburgh, just a pebble’s throw from the beach. The main Airbnb picture probably doesn’t do the cottage justice as I certainly didn’t feel I was right next to a car park. We throughly enjoyed our couple of days there: comfortable sofas and beds, spacious bedrooms though the downstairs living area might be a little cosy for four (although the outdoor space will help in the warmer months). The water pressure was ok, the heating most definitely worked and the WiFi signal was good. COVID-19 precautions and processes in place made us at ease. Would love to return and spend a little longer there.

We would highly recommend this property. Very clean and beautiful decor. Fabulous views. Comfortable beds. Excellent location. We managed to get parked on a street close by. Other reviewers mention the top floor bedroom and sloping ceiling. It is suitable for children but would be challenging for adults. Excellent communication. We would book this property again.

A truly charming holiday home in the most incredible location, bang in the centre of beautiful Aldeburgh. The house is finished to the highest of standards (I have appliance envy), with beautiful bathrooms and an excellent kitchen. Compact but so comfortable, with a delightful balcony and garden, all on top of the beach. It was immaculately clean and has been extremely well looked-after. If we’re being hyper-critical, the double bed is pretty small, but we are knit-picking. Two minor issues were dealt with promptly. We loved our stay and are so looking forward to returning. Thank you so much for a super stay. We’ll be back!

The cottage is perfectly located for both the high street and the beach. There is no parking allocated to the property but we had no problem parking 2 cars in the adjacent pay & display car park. Very clean, very light rooms and decorations were salubrious. Only real negative was the loft bathroom, good to practice your limbo skills! All in all we had a great stay and can highly recommend the property.

The property location was excellent for access to Aldeburgh beach and high street. There are plenty of bars, shops and restaurants very close-by. The accommodation was exactly as described, clean, very modern and comfortable and perfect for our short stay by the sea! The check in process was very straightforward (despite our arrival very late at night). Parking is available immediately outside the property (pay & display), but neighbouring streets offer free parking which was available most of our stay. All of our communication with the rental company was very friendly and efficient, with quick replies to any questions we had. We had a very enjoyable stay, thank you very much!
